    Protection Plan Is WELL Worth It

    Always worth buying the extra protection. Our $1000 TV had some issues and Geek Squad was very responsive, techs were very nice. In the end, we needed a new TV and we were within the protection plan requirements so we had it replaced... with a NEW TV, none of this refurbished nonsense. Highly recommended.

    while I have the 85inch 4k TV, I also bought the 2 years Geek squad, not only for protection, also for the professional servcies the Best buy can provide.

    It’s always a good idea to purchase this added services when purchasing electronics. I was so grateful that I did purchase it. When my television went out it was replaced right WY.

    I have been a believer in having this extra protection. I have had to use the warranty to replace a tv in the past. There was no hesitation on the part of Best Buy to honor the warranty even close to the end date. You should definitely purchase this protection. I intend to go with the five-year warranty in the future.

    They helped me mount my tv and when it had issues with they were able to help me out and get my tv fixed, and fast, I might add. Very excellent customer service.

    Does what it's supposed to! Been holding onto a 50lbs TV we move around all the time to point the TV from the living room to the dining room! Thing is worth every penny

    Very reassuring to have the extended 5 year home protection plan for my 65" LG OLED TV. Anything goes wrong and Geek Squad will come to my home to repair without me having to take such a large item back in to the store. Definitely worth the additional cost for this coverage.

    Good to have a little insurance and assurance when buying a pricy electronic item. It just eliminates the hassle of trying to go through the manufacturer for something that your local Best Buy can get done in a fraction of the time!

    Have had the service before on an older TV. When that TV had a dead pixel they worked with me and allowed me to just replace it instead of having to wait for the TV to be sent off and wait for the factory to say it was unrepairable. Hoping if anything goes wrong this time I am treated the same.

    Excellent GS protection for Bravia OLED. If this TV fails in 5 years you want it protected for the price point of the TV and protection. GS protection is very good.

    If I could give it 0 stars I would. I bought a 77" Sony OLED from them a year ago. My previous TV had been broken by a Toddler visiting my house so I asked the sales associate if their protection plan covered a cracked screen like a toddler throwing a balloon weight through the TV. He assured me that it would. Well... we moved and guess what, after taking all the precautions to make sure the TV did not suffer any damage, the screen cracked. Best buy now states they don't cover cracked screens on Sony OLEDs... I was conned into buying an expensive warranty for the sole purpose of accidental damage on a TV that is now useless. Beware, their sales associates don't know what they are talking about. Looking at it in the best light the sales associate sold us the wrong protection plan. In the worst light, he conned us into a membership with basic protection plan to get a bonus or some kind of kickback when what we wanted was the protection plan with accidental damage coverage.

    Best Buy backed the product. It was a cheap DVD player so the plan was about $10. It quit after a year so I took it back. They looked it up and said no problem, you are covered. Go back to the shelf and get a new one, we don't repair that model. Naturally, I picked a different brand that was the same price. Changing brands was not a problem and I walked out with my new player.
