Purchased my tv with a 5 year warranty. Four years later my tv is having issues with what seems to be the wifi card which was replaced. But 2 weeks later the tv is having issues again and they are unwilling to come and take a look at the tv, blaming my wifi at home. I have other electronics at home that work fine without any issues only the tv is having problems. I have video proof of what the tv is doing but yet they blame my wifi. The tv is turning off the wifi on its own, there is no setting to turn this off. I will not be buying again from best buy, let alone use the geek squad service again.

I was able to install the TV and start it up without need of help from the Geek Squad service. However, I thought that having the Geek Squad service available for 5 years was a good idea for a peace of mind, like an insurance policy. Typically Consumer Report Magazine does not recommend this type of coverage as electronic devices are generally very reliable and long lasting. Indeed and interesting, my previous 48" Flat Screen TV failed exactly 5 days after my 5-year Geek Squad service expired. During those 5 years I did not need any service from the Geek Squad. Hope this TV lasts longer then 5 years and 5 days!

After purchasing a high end 4K HDTV, the Geek Squad Protection Plan is confidence that help is close by if ever needed. The price of the plan is also less than most others. In the past, the Geek Squad Protection from Best Buy was quick, friendly and satisfactory. This makes everything about buying the new TV worry-free.

Good warranty..after buying a TCL ROKU tv which we did not purchase a warranty on and having the sound go out and having a black picture after 2 years of use..we definitely bought a 5 year warranty with this Pioneer Tv..hopefully we’ll never have to use it but if we do we have it!

I purchased this plan for my new television because I would never know when it might need service..being on a limited income, I'm watching what I spend and everything counts..while I have never used the service yet it is satisfying to have peace of mind in case something happens.

I AM SO HAPPY WITH THE NEW TV. THE GEEK SQUAD WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND SETTING UP THE EQUIPMENT. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THEM AND WOULD RECCOMENT THEM TO EVERYONE. I WILL ALWYS SHOP AT BEST BUY.

Geek squad protection is absolutely worth the price.

I always recommend getting warranty on any electronic i buy. The geek squad has you covered if you have any issues and they are so very helpful

I haven't needed to use Geek squad yet for this TV. Great picture for the price. I was really surprised at the minimal operations manual, you have to download it for details- the docs they provide should highlight or give a link for it. Overall very happy with the TV

Other stores would offer warranty but for $100 and some change we got the 5 year warranty couldn't resist a offer like that

I purchased Geek Squad for a open box TV I purchased and I give me a since of comfort. I like knowing if i have any problems with a large expense item, its covered by professional technical associates. I've used geek squad services in the past with my laptop and their services helped me in the most necessary time, during college. I bought this extended warranty for a tv that I purchsed for my father. Good piece of mind knowing that he has a 5 year warranty instead of one year that the manufacturer gives you.

I purchased this Protection Plan for my 8K TV. I think it is worth it because BestBuy gives me the opportunity to deal with them directly instead of mailing stuff or 3rd parties. Specially, I have the piece of mind that if my TV needs to be replaced I will receive a new one instead of a refurbished one (It has happened before). In that case I rather buy a new one than getting something that has different defects of the one that I turned in (Specially with phones, it has happened more than once).
