    Luckily my Sony was still under 5 years warranty so when they could not repair it and I replaced it I bought the same 5 years protection.

    I went ahead and purchased this extra 2 year protection plan as I do on certain items I purchase at Best Buy. They will fix or replace with no questions asked. Better safe then sorry.
