If the TV is going to give you problems it is most likely to occur in the last 2 years of your protection period unless you are the unfortunate one to have purchased a "lemon". Granted not all Geek Squad technicians are top notch but in general they provide responsible care when called and you may be lucky enough to get a technician that is beyond excellent. In any event a 5 year protection plan is essential when making such a substantial purchase.
