    My review of this service is positive. They helped repair (resolve) an issue with the screen even after my moving it and having that piece of mind when purchasing a $5K TV is important. I know all of the reviews tell you that the geek squad protection is a scam and just a way for the store to line their pockets, but when you spend this much on a TV it is worth it and much easier than going though manufacturers warrenty. If I had listened to the critics then I would be without a working Tv right now

    A+technicians, horrible customer service policy

    The geek squad technicians that came to my home to service my tv were very good. However, the customer service on the phone, scheduling (a 12 HOUR WINDOW) and the lack of follow through (being told someone will call me back or email me) from the escalation team and never hearing from anyone. And being told that there must be 3 SERVICE CALLS (not including diagnostic ones) in order for them to replace the broken tv) made this a very bad customer service experience.

    I don't recall buying this protection in August 2020. But I have bought the Geek Squad protection several times before and am very very happy I did. Service is always professional and helpful, although the line and wait was long one time. It is a risk/reward calculation - is the coverage likely to be needed. Like other insurance, you never know - but when needed, it is worth the cost.

    I would definitely not buy a TV today without an additional warranty. TV’s today have so many features and issues can arise. Having a warranty for five years at a lower price is a great value. If it can’t be fixed , you can get it replaced. With a warranty, you have a chance for repair or replacement. Saves u from buying another unit. Best deal around. Best Buy Geeks usually are great.

    ALWAYS BUY FOR ADDITIONAL COVERAGE. I did not like that my purchased warranty outsourced my repair to a NON-Geek Squad company. They picked up and returned my television and the problem persisted. After I complained to GEEK SQUAD I received a call back they diagnosed the tv over the phone and I was instructed to return the television to Best Buy for a refund at the current listed price.

    Definitely worth investing in. I had an issue with a previous model of my Oled and I was able to exchange and grab a larger screen for a very low cost!

    Some times it is better to to on the safe side. I have had several people I know have trouble with the T V they purchase and since this was an open box item ( evidently purchased and used to watch the super bowl and then returned based on the active account I discovered on the T V ) I wanted to play it safe and went with the warranty . SO thst if some difficulty does happen I should be in good hands for repair or replacement.

    $30.00 warranty for TV

    Fortunately I got a working TV and have not had to test the warranty yet, but this tv will get used a lot in our bedroom so I got the warranty for 30.00. If it quits the cashier said I could just replace it for a year then they will fix it or refund my money when something happens.

    I decided to buy this insurance because the first TV that I bought get damage and start giving problem after 2 months, because it was on guarantee I was able to return it back . I decided to buy another brand that I have been using all my life and wanted to made sure that the problem will not be repeated on this one

    I have purchased this protection for the last few years for my peace of mind. I've used them a few times, they installed my hardwired Ring doorbell, backyard Ring camera with the solar panel, over the range microwave, etc. All done well and professionally. Although I don't use them much, it's better to have them and not need them, than to need them and now have to pay out of pocket full charge.

    2 Year Geek Squad Protection for my 50 inch TV

    Everyone should get the 2 year geek squad protection for any television that they purchase from Best Buy, because you got that extra protection if something goes terrible wrong like the television screen goes totally blurry or if the television screen stops working all together! Just having that extra protection is definetly worth the extra money, so that you are protected, and don't have to throw away your television into the trash can! Everyone should be protected! God bless you all out there! :)

    I purchase warranty for almost everything I buy I think I only used it a few times before. During this pandemic it seems like everything started breaking down. A set of gaming headphones, sound bar and a tv luckily everything was under Geek Squad. When I took these items to them I had no problem getting replacements all the products. That means for me I still will be purchasing from Geek Squad 5 stars.
