    There’s a better way to work with geek squad

    So I was in a crunch with a rental lease I needed printed but it would not print. After days of trying everything I could think of, I went in to see what I wasn’t doing correctly. That’s all I needed. I had the least on a thumb drive but it still wouldn’t work. That’s how simple it should have been but unfortunately, this day was the first day they made a policy to ONLY WORK WITH APPOINTMENTS. So you have 6 geeks having a great time behind the counter asking people as they walked up “do you have an appointment?” And like me, “no I just need to ask you why this isn’t working”. “Sorry, you have to have an appointment And you’ll have to go to the front counter and they will make you an appointment” I witnessed six people having a great time turning customers away.

    If you buy any electronics (tv’s, consoles, etc.) always get the GSP! I’ve had to replace several TVs and it’s easy to work with them when they went bad. If you get an Insignia tv, get the 2 year plan, because they’ll go bad before the name brands. Get the 5 yr for LG, Sony, Samsung, etc. because their made better and should make it past the 2 year mark.

    Good experience with Hisense and Bestbuy Geek Squa

    Hisense 65QD7N is a very nice tv with bright colors. I liked the fact that it had 4 hdmi connections with speeds up to 2.1. It is not too heavy so it is easy to mount it on the wall by yourself. I also bought Geek Squad protection plan to have peace of mind for 5 years. Unfortunatelly the one corner of the tv had a white cloud, which was very disturbing while watching dark scenes, so I contacted Hisense customer service and they decided after sending the repair technician that my TV is a lemon, so they sent me a check for full refund. I did not have to use Geek Squad plan as My tv was still on manufactures warranty period. Bestbuy returned the money for unused protection plan. Great service from Hisense and Bestbuy. Overall good experience as ended up with buying Samsung S90d Oled which is perfect.

    The TV isn't bad at all. I've had it since 2018. The only issue is the top of the TV is now separating at the top seam. Not sure why though but it's outside of my 5 year warranty.

    I purchased the service contract just in case something goes wrong. I had a LG TV for two years prior to this one and had to replace the previous one since it constantly had to be re-set, black screen, etc. The service contract was worth it and the TV was replaced.

    5-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection for my TV

    I got the 5-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection because the protection that comes with being a member doesn't cover parts and it's an expensive top-of-the-line TV. I've purchased this before with my older TV and needed to be fixed before the 5 years were up. They sent someone to make sure it was broken, and within an hour, got a credit for a new TV. Best deal ever if you're buying an expensive TV. Futureproof!
