If you buy any electronics (tv’s, consoles, etc.) always get the GSP! I’ve had to replace several TVs and it’s easy to work with them when they went bad. If you get an Insignia tv, get the 2 year plan, because they’ll go bad before the name brands. Get the 5 yr for LG, Sony, Samsung, etc. because their made better and should make it past the 2 year mark.

We finally got this 86 inch NanoCell LG TV set up over the weekend and let me start by saying it’s amazing! We may need to get a bigger TV stand because it’s so huge! The picture quality is out of this world, very high definition. We have already streamed a few movies on it from the built in smart features it comes with, Netflix being one of the many. It feels like you are actually at the movie theater! The fact that it comes equipped with Alexa already built in is also a bonus. We have it synced with our other Alexa’s to change the channel or shut the TV off on its own just by telling Alexa to do it. The remote is also awesome! It has a roller ball on it similar to a computer mouse. There is a cursor that shows up on the screen when you point the remote at it. So you just use the cursor to click on whatever feature or channel you want, it’s very cool!! My 6 year old loves playing with it and it makes it so easy for her to work the tv. There is also a microphone button on the remote so she can speak into it and tell it what to do. Smart TV’s have come so far and this one definitely does not lack in the creativity department! It also is great for gaming. The characters look so life like and real, my husband loves that! I definitely recommend anyone looking for a new TV to try this out!

Hah! Just in time! I forgot that I had purchased the 5-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection plan until the other day when I found my receipt for TV. 11 months ago we bought a new 55" Insignia Fire TV. For the past month it has been changing channels in the middle of movies/programs and going to the TV Guide. Sometimes the TV just shuts off. So anyways, I found the protection plan, called Geek Squad and had an in person service call within 2 days! Now that is awesome service!! They come tomorrow. I hope they can figure it out as this new TV has been a lemon since we bought it last December 11 months ago.

If you buy an electronic item over $500, always buy this protection plan. I purchased it with a TV and unfortunately had to use it but it works perfectly. This is a must. Think of it this way, If you buy a tv that is over $1000 are you okay with buying a new one if you do not have the protection plan?

Geek squad did not install my TV but I will say that I've used them for years for other purposes and they are always polite and attentive to your needs. I would always suggest adding Geek Squad protection on anything you buy from Beat Buy. It's worth the purchase.

I always purchase my electronics and appliances through best buy. They always have the best prices and will price match if not. I always opt for the additional Geek squad protection. Ive always been satisified with the process of filing claims as its very easy. When looking at a big purchase I consider the length of the protection plan when choosing where I buy. Best buy always has the longest protection plans for the best price. Always buy geek squad protection you wont regret it!

I got the 5-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection because the protection that comes with being a member doesn't cover parts and it's an expensive top-of-the-line TV. I've purchased this before with my older TV and needed to be fixed before the 5 years were up. They sent someone to make sure it was broken, and within an hour, got a credit for a new TV. Best deal ever if you're buying an expensive TV. Futureproof!

Perfect for our large media room! It takes the place of an 86" tv and the difference is huge. Picture quality is excellent. Buyers should keep in mind that the screen will need several hours of burn in time to let the built in AI do its thing. Avoid the temptation to adjust the color, contrast, or brightness until you have watched a few movies on it. I found that our TV needed no adjustment once we had 8 or so hours of screentime on it. Best Buy performed the delivery and installation on my second floor. They did an excellent job!

About 3 TV's ago I started buying the Geek Squad 5-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection plan automatically with the purchase of a flat screen TV regardless of the brand/model. I learned that modern day TV's are only rated to last 2 to 3 years. Now while all have outlasted the 3 year mark, they started to fail in the 4th years. In both cases the tv's begain to show faint lines in the picture. Upon noticing the lines I called Best Buy's Geek Squad and my protection plan got me my money back on the TV's! I was then able to use that money to buy a new replacement TV. Not only that, I was allowed to keep the failing tv until both screens went completely black. So in these cases this plan was worth every penny.

If you do not get this on an expensive TV you are not doing it right. It's great to have on high end products they will either give you a full refund or replace the product. It's more convenient than going through a manufacturer for sure.
