I bought the coverage for my open box TV. I haven't had to use it, but I suppose the peace of mind is worth the price.

Have had to use this protection twice and both times was a pleasant experience, I believe it is better to have the protection and not need it than to need it and not have it, honestly I can recommend getting the extended warranty, without hesitation

Geek squad protection plans are worth the extra money. several years ago I had purchased a 46" Samsung 3d/smart/hdtv. after less than 18 months, It had a huge dim bar across the screen. it was irreparable and Best Buy had to give me, at minimum, what I purchased. they no longer had 46" 3D/smart/HDTV's, so they had to give me a 55". The plan saved me from having to buy a new tv and I also got a size upgrade. can't beat that!

I would always recommend this, especially on small appliances and television as if you need it they are courteous and prompting getting you satisfaction and it always helps to be able to get things taken care of right away

If you can’t afford buying another device if it broke, you could get this. Don’t blame a toddler for something you could have prevented!!!!

This was purchased to protect my investment. I love having protection just in case something happens

I had an issue with Tv called spoke with a service tech he verifed glitch and replaced it without any hassle the warranty is well worth the money

I will say though that in the distant past (back when a 65in Pioneer Plasma TV cost between $9,000 -10,000) they allowed an extension of the original extended warranty and honored their coverage in about year 8 of warranty replacing that TV with an equivalent unit (now Panasonic) which is still in use today some 14 years from the original purchase and still a great TV especially for sports, action and 3D movies.

All good so far as I haven't had to use the extended protection at this point. Well, as of this time we have not needed support by Gee Squad but expect they will provide support if we need it. TV was straight forward to set up

BUY THE PROTECTION. Every single time I have purchased it, it has saved me. Multiple TVs have gone out and my Dyson vacuum.. they literally refund you your entire purchase amount to a gift card to buy a new one. If they’re able to fix it, they’ll come to you and fix it. SO BEYOND WORTH IT.

Good price and I know my devices are protected in case something happens.

The crew that came out to do the install were very polite, and neat. Had a problem with one of the products (component was damaged) they took care of it without any problems, In the past I would do my our install, but for the money it was well worth it, before they left they made sure all components worked to my satisfaction, will use them again, Thank you Best Buy and Sterling

I purchased an 85in TV on October 15th. On November 4th the installation team came to remove our current TV and wall mount and install the new wall mount and new TV. In the process they dropped our TV, damaged our wall, shelf, fireplace and floor. I have been trying to get a manager on the phone since then, it’s now 11/10. They have reordered the TV but we cannot get them to schedule another appointment to install. Also, the installation team left us with our old TV and wall mount uninstalled. So then my husband had to reinstall everything they removed on his own. This will be the last time I purchase from Best Buy.

You cannot go wrong with having peace of mind that if anything goes wrong with your product that it will be fixed or replaced. I have not had to use Geek Squad as of yet and hopefully I never will. One thing I did hear about the Geek Squad Protection is that replacement value of purchase goes down every year. For example if i purchased a $1000 tv and a 5 year warranty and after 3 years I start having problem and they cannot fix it and have to replace it. I will only get a credit of $400 towards a new Tv. I don't know how true that is but I did hear that from a BB employee.
