    Always on the fence about getting extended warranties feel like if a company sells you a inferior product you shouldn’t buy their product. I just hope I never have to file a claim.

    Now that I need to use my warranty its not active and now I have to wait until BB GS activates it and have to wait 5-7....in the meantime I have no fridge and its summer time

    I wish I could rate this lower than a one star. Negative seventy eleven stars sounds about right. Our dishwasher was cancelled, not once, not twice but THREE TIMES by the "system." Finally, the third time we were unable to order it. Our new fridge was supposed to be delivered on a Tuesday. We were supposed to receive a call the night before to let us know a better idea our delivery was supposed to occur. We never received a call. Didn't think much of it. Waited around all day on Tuesday during our 8 HOUR WINDOW OF DELIVERY. Between 12-8. Waited and waited and waited. A little after 7 we tried calling the store. No answer as it was after hours. 7:55 I call Best Buy. After waiting on hold for about ten minutes I was told that when the warehouse went to prep my order, they discovered that the fridge was damaged and dented by the manufacturer. We were now told that the fridge is on back-order and we were unable to reorder it. No phone call, no email. NOTHING. CRICKETS. I had to call into Best Buy to figure out what was happening with my order. That is just not right. We ended up just canceling our order and took our business elsewhere. NEVER AGAIN.

    Had to contact them for issue with my gas stove oven door....it took quite awhile to get through and then was told they had no one contracted that could work on a gas stove.....very disappointing...what good is the protection plan if you can't use it. Luckily my stove still under warranty and they suggested I call LG and did give me all the info I needed to contact LG

    We purchased our fridge 2 years ago and it started building up ice in the frezzer walls. called in to get service multiple times which by the way takes 1 to 2 hours wait time to get to speak to someone, the tech comes in and asseses the problem orders parts and then we have to wait 4 weeks for them to come back to tell us that the compresor is not the problem and that the last tech made a mistake but we have to wait for them to order the parts. so 6 weeks have gone by and still no resolution. On top of it all the tech from Aand D apliance had an attitude problem. like I said bad experience overall.

    Best Buy’s policy is that the manufacturer must be contacted in the first year. Essentially, they won’t even talk to you and there is no way to escalate anything within Best Buy. So, I’ve lost my freezer foods twice after the freezer broke on my Samsung refrigerator and had to have the water filer system completely replaced, but no one is willing to declare this unit faulty and provide me with a replacement. So, if you are thinking about purchasing protection from Best Buy, keep this lack of support in mind.

    Had to get a replacement fridge payed to have it installed and the delivery service just dropped it off and left stating it said drop off so we had install the shelves pull off all the plastic and dispose of everything and put the handles on still have to level it one door doesn't stay open..thought it was very rude of them seeing as I payed 60 extra dollars to have it done ..not my fault the fridge was damaged and didn't work properly had to take everything out and put it back in..thanks for the hassle geek squad

    By All means do NOT purchase the Geek Squad warranty for major appliances. Best Buy does not service appliances in house and hires an outside service company that is a joke. If you do buy, prepare yourself for a huge run around. We purchased a warranty, had a problem, called Bestbuy and was informed that they would dispatch a third party. Third party two 3 weeks to show up after rescheduling twice. When they did arrive, the tech was wearing a LOWES ID badge. Tech did absolutely nothing, left, and took 3 months to come back with parts. Guess what, the same appliance is broken again. The local store is offering zero assistance.

    Geek peeps can out and couldn't do anything. They referred me to the manufacturer bc the appliance was less than 6 months old.

    Not so great for drop off! I felt they did not do the inside work and hook it up, my hudsband did. Nor take all the plastic off which was a pain.

    NO ONE OWNS THE PROBLEM - 2 failing fridges

    I have spent a month trying to get my fridge repaired after they sent a technician that does not service my brand. I have been rotated through for departments the last of which told me to service m 2 commercial size refriderators I would have to bring them in. (Both are failing. I have called best buy elite plus and spoken with multiple agents. NO ONE WILL OWN responsibility for the problem and fix my equipment. I just received another $5,000 budget to purchase capital equipment and best buy is off my list of acceptable venros

    Got fridge in Sept 2017 & sales person said would add warranty had at that time at 5 yr. Was given 3 yr instead.

    My wife adds extended warranties to everything we purchase. It did come in handy on our deluxe washing machine. I hope I don’t end up needing it
