    Ice maker was replaced twice under the extended warranty. The third time it quit, the warranty had expired, they sent a tech out (with a service call fee) and he said it would be around $500 to replace.

    BEST BUY WARRANTY IS A SCAM

    What a joke. Stay away from extended warranties. They subcontract it out to sears. Ive had sears cancel on me, consistently show up to the wrong address even though best buy was notified of this issue multiple times. These scammers are getting off by wasting my time and not servicing my fridge. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT BEST BUY AGAIN. YOU GUYS OWE ME MY 325$ WARRANTY MONEY BACK. WASTED 2 DAYS OF WORK. YOU OWE ME AN ADDITONAL 800$ FOR THE 2 DAYS MISSED AT MY JOB

    Died in 1.5yrs. Warranty only 1yr. No help from BB

    Bought the unit in Feb 2023. Broke down within a week. BB sent a new one. That one lasted until Nov. 2024. But the warranty only lasted a year. Customer service offered nothing except a free diagnosis only if my 80 year old mom brought the fridge in. Not realistic. In home visit to diagnose was $125 for a $400 fridge. No free parts, no free labor. Insignia is Best Buy's own brand. They should stand behind these products. They've lost a customer for life

    Terrible customer service

    I ordered a refrigerator from Best Buy to replace an existing built in refrigerator. Built in refrigerators are heavier than regular ones, so I called customer service to let them know about this. The agent said they can certainly get a 4 person crew and would need to reschedule the delivery so that they can arrange for it (they need a 4 day lead time). Two days before delivery, I get a call from Best Buy to confirm my appointment. I again brought up the need for a larger crew because of my existing fridge. The agent said he cannot see the notes because of some issue with the system but he will email his manager to be doubly sure. The day of delivery, 2 people show up and say they can’t complete the job because their dispatch did not send 4 people! Then I call Best Buy again and apparently I spoke to a supervisor. She said she does not see the request for 4 people and that I would have to wait 1 day to find out when they can send 4 people. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I ordered a new fridge because my current one is leaking so there is urgency in getting a new one. It’s ridiculous how they can’t manage a simple request. Never buying appliances from Best Buy again.

    Whatever happened to Reliable Customer Service

    My fridge has been out since 8/19/24. The 3rd visit for another replacement part is on 9/4. ALMOST ONE MONTH! Prior to this 3rd visit, we had our fridge serviced for the same issue. So technically, it's visit #4. BB is quick to offer warranty, but the repair process takes too long. An escalation notice has been submitted in my case and was I told I'd hear from someone within 24/48 hrs. It hasn't happened. I guess it's not that urgent. Whatever happened to reliable customer service?

    Fridge that doesn't make COOL.

    functional problem. had this for 3 months, started building up frosts behind shelves on the fridge side and didn't make cool. called for repair and it took more than two weeks to come, the technician needed to replace fan and scheduled for three weeks after! and within this time, so many grocery items got rotten. after three weeks, he came with a hair drier to melt the ice and frost and broke Styrofoam behind drawers, and finally came to replace the fan. it only worked for 3 days and stopped making cool again. with this COVID19 pandemic and a hot summer, that we cannot go to grocery stores often, everything in the fridge died. they sent us $100 gift card but that doesn't make a fridge cool. next appointment scheduled for almost a month later and the same guy said need to replace the fan again and scheduled for next 20 days in July. see, hot summer and months without fridge. called several times and complaint but they were just saying we cannot do anything, not even schedule the repair for a sooner day. they just follow some text and policy and never care about customer. Finally called again and escalated to speak to a supervisor and she agreed to exchange this fridge. but she said it takes very long time since we are backlogged. what we can do during this hot summer and COVID19 pandemic? we bought and expensive fridge from a brand that we thoiught has a good reputation, but we cannot have a cold water to drink. have to trash milk just in 3 days, so is fruit and everything else. don't know how long we have to wait for a replacement and don't know if the next one works fine.

    No one knows what they are talking about

    Finally went and tried to use my 3 yr Best Buy geek squad and was told in the chat today that it was covered for parts and service. When I purchased it in April of 2022 I was told that the 3yrs followed the manufacturer warranty of 1 yr. So I thought that it was good. He gave me a number to call to schedule it and I did and they said it was not covered at all. He also would not honor what I was told. I have spent well over 10k in appliances for 2 houses over the past 5 yrs absolutely disappointing that they will not honor it

    Delivery team can't connect the it

    I actually love this refrigerator, I ordered the same refrigerator to replace my old one, the one star rating is for installation, The delivery team said they can't connect the frig to the old copper pipe so they took the refrigerator back. But 5 years ago when I bought my old refrigerator the delivery team had no problem to connect.

    when your delivery people call me on the day of delivery and say we won't deliver, then tell me that they will give me the next available date and instead I get a notice in an sms asking me to reschedule it myself even though I scheduled the delivery 2 weeks in advance on a specific date and time for a reason, it just shows what type of business it is. I needed the fridge to move into my new house btw.

    Ice makeer

    On July 9th I put a service request because my ice maker is not working and still not working. Best Buy contracted RR Applicance to fix it. The came out to assess the problem and said they needed to order parts. About a month ago they came back and said they forgot to order one part. Since then I have been waiting for them to return to fix it. Last Friday, August 13th they said the part would be in on Friday 14th and that they will call me on Monday August 17th, they never did call. Today August 20th I called and as usual they were rude and said the part still not in. Bottom line my $3500 refrigerator is not working and this is the 3rd time. I am going to file a Lemon Law suit and take you to court for non-compliance of the extended warranty I purchased when I purchase this refrigerator. I am a loyal customer of Best Buy and I cant believe I am being treated this way. If any one out there is reading this, do not buy appliances from Best Buy and for sure do not buy the extended warranty because they do not honor the warranty.

    Very frustrated with lack of follow through

    I am very disappointed in the Geek Squad response to our washing machine not working correctly. We called and a serviceman came out in 4 days and looked at it. He said they would get back to us. After a week, we called the service company. They said parts had been ordered. After more than a week, I contacted our Best Buy store. We received a phone call saying they would get back to us to tell us what is happening "tomorrow". It's been over another 4 days, so I contacted them again. They say they will be back to me tomorrow. . .

    Does not cover anything!!

    If I could give it zero stars, I could. I got this fridge, and the shelves have been very poorly made. I tried to see if it could be replaced because I got the 5-year standard plan, and apparently, it's not covered because its physical damage. Shelves are not broken, so I dont recommend getting this, it doesnt work.
