    Definitely worth it for refrigerators!

    We did extensive research before purchasing a refrigerator. We discovered that regardless of what brand you purchase, the most frequent part to need repair is the icemaker. In fact, several salesman told us that if you own the refrigerator for long enough, it's only a matter of time before that icemaker gives out! We actually wanted to purchase a refrigerator without an icemaker for that reason, but finding one of good quality without the icemaker proved to be especially challenging. And because we had just suffered the loss of our current refrigerator, we realized how tough it is to be without that particular appliance! The price of the protection plan was definitely worth the peace of mind for us. I love the fact that it even covers food loss. The geek squad has proven to be friendly and expeditious. We would purchase it again!

    As I say, Greek Squad Protection is a must plus have because you never know when your purchase is going to break down or have some kind of malfunction and you end up paying way more than it cost to repair..so with the geek squad protection plan..you have NOTHING!!! to worry about..and you could be low on funds so having the geek squad protection is a must plus have..i have experience not having a protection and i said NEVER AGAIN!!! I'm getting the Geek Squad Protection Plan so that i can be STRESS FREE!!!

    I always get a BB warranty if I'm spending for than a couple hundred bucks. It provides peace of mind and BB does a good job when they're called out or need to replace an item. It's been a life/wallet saver in the past, so I don't leave the store without it.

    I havent had to use it, but 300 bucks seems like the insurance provider/companies are seeing the need to charge a lot based on the probabilty of failure. $100-150 seems like a fair price, otherwise geek squad in general is really good with their warranties, so its worth it.

    One never knows what will go wrong. Used to be you just plugged in an appliance and it worked "forever." Not any more. Although I always buy good brands that have great reviews, I have had minor/major issues over several appliances that required service after the manufacturers warranty ran out. Though not cheap, the extended 5 yr. protection plan has been well worth it for me and have saved me more than the cost of the plan.

    Had small problem with my new fridge Best buy promptly came out repaired replaced the item that was bad fridge works great definitely worth getting the extended warranty

    Bought the store brand Insignia 20.5 cu ft fridge in stainless steel and within a year the shelves started breaking. Spent 3 days attempting to remedy situation through extended 5 year warranty purchased. Was told damage is difficult to prove or disprove and that an appt to have a technician come out to my house would be necessary to determine if shelf was indeed broken and whether it could be fixed or needed replaced. I had brought the broken Insignia refrigerator shelf in to the store with me. I asked if he was saying the only course of action I had was to take the broken shelf back to my house, try to reinstall it and then schedule an appt with a tech to come to my house to make the determination that it was broken and he said that my understanding was correct. He said it was corporate policy which he had no hand in creating but must abide by . I asked where the "fix it" techs work out of. He said the stores but there was no way for customers or fellow employees to contact them when in store and directed me to contact their main 'help" line. Since I had already spent 2 days trying to get help through the online chat function which led me to be told to bring the shelf into a store to get service only to be told by this Geek Squad employee that their helpline employees were incorrect and now on day 3 of trying to get a workable fridge main shelf I needed to go call the helpline again. I told him I was reluctant to do so as I was already 3 days in and the helpline had sent me to him and he was trying to send me back. I asked for contact information so I could discuss my experience and how their corporate policy effected me and he again gave me the help line telephone number and said that there were no addresses or emails that customers could access or be given, that it was corporate policy that he had no control over because he just worked there. Why even bother? With poor quality products and poor design backed up by the Geek Squad who refuses service and employees who simply can't or won't be autonomous or attempt to actually remedy a situation, why even bother? Spend your money elsewhere, somewhere you and your money is valued and appreciated.

    Really nice fridge. day one I had a issue with leak inside the fridge that lasted a couple weeks. Samsung customer service thought it was the filter. It was replaced and we still had the leak. Turned out to be a piece the hold the filter that was cracked. Samsung did pretty well to get the issue fixed with no charge. I don’t have any issue now.
