Beware of these service plans, these types of "warranties" seem harder and harder to use. I have normally purchased my large appliances from Best Buy because of the service plans, but I am considering going elsewhere in the future. Fridge has been having an issue and I called to get the fridge serviced, they tell me that the fridge has a warranty with the manufacturer for 10 years parts and 5 years labor. I spent two hours trying to get ahold of Whirlpool and finally talking to them they confirm that but the warranty does not cover the service call to see what is wrong with the fridge, so I am geek squad tells me this time they won't authorize the service call without a RMA number that I need to get from the manufacturer, so I have to waste more time now to get this information. I was a big believer of Best Buy and Geek Squad, this has changed by this whole experience.

I would always recommend geek squad on my refrigerator in case anything were to go wrong. Being a sing mom. I don't have time to be fixing things. I like making the one phone call. And they are on the way to fix what ever goes wrong.

This is a great product to get for returns and warranties.

Reasonable price for insurance for 5 years of peace of mind

i like the fact i purchased the extra3 year protection ,Cause im the type that when i purchase big ticket i always get a lemon so at least ill be fully protected for 3 years on parts @ labor.

You really want to get this for your appliances like refrigerators and stoves. The ice maker (if you have one) in the fridge is generally the first thing to give you problems

Only got this because it was the maximum year amount that could be purchased for the refrigerator. Not sure why it was limited to 3 yrs. Have not tried service yet but I hope to never use it.

Got the extended warranty protection and am happy I did. The price is affordable and I know it'll cover what I need it to cover. I've had good experience with Geek squad in the past.
