    We bought the 5 Yr. Standard Geek Squad Protection for our new Samsung refrigerator hoping that we'll never need to use it. The cost for it is very reasonable.

    I bought a French door refrigerator & was glad I had 14 days to buy the geek protection. I decided an extra $129 for 3 years was worth the peace of mind that I could call in case anything goes wrong. Hopefully I won’t need it!

    this is a necessary item. My prior fridge had a lot of issues with its ice maker and without this service i would have had a lot of troubles. In the end they refunded me my money to buy a new fridge.

    I love the Geek Squad! They are always so friendly and patient. Besides that they all have a wealth of knowledge about a wide variety of products. If they don’t know they will defer to someone who does.

    Protection Programs worth Every Penny

    I buy the protection/replacement programs for everything I buy. Well worth the investment. Better than having to pay for a whole new one if it breaks and the prices for the protection are very reasonable!

    The refrigerator was delivered on-time and installed effectively. The service people went out of their way in helping me to disconnect the old refrigerator's water line to the ice cube maker.

    It is always a good idea to get protection coverage on your products. Well worth the price. Have not needed to use it yet, but if I need to, it will be in place.

    The people who delivered my refrigerator were very good. They took care of everything and took away the old fridge. They were very careful and set it all up nicely.

    Geek squad service is the best. I called I received an immediate response they solved my problems very quickly. Also any additional cost to get the geek squad service when purchasing is well worth it.

    Before I purchased my new LG refrigerator on 6/15/25, I spoke with a Best Buy customer service agent who assured me that, if I purchased a 5-year GS protection plan and something happened during the manufacturer's 1-year warranty period, GS would send out the repairman, who would make any necessary repairs and then deal with LG on my behalf. I had asked about this specifically because I had read several reviews about LG refrigerator compressors going out early and that the LG warranty service was horrible. My refrigerator has started making a loud noise, and GS tells me that I must go through LG and that they will not service the refrigerator until the LG warranty expires. Either Best Buy has trained their employees to misrepresent the terms of the protection, or their employees have not received correct training. Be warned!

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
