    THE WHIRLPOOL WARRANTY WAS KIND OF LIMITED SO $79.99 FOR 3 YEARS TO COVER EVERYTHING WAS WELL WORTH IT.

    I contacted the geek squad for assistance when I had an issue with the product. They were very difficult to get into contact with and ultimately when I did speak to someone they gave me the run around and basically told me to contact the manufacturer, which I did. I ended up having to pay for someone from LG to come to my house. It feels like the geek squad protection was useless.

    I needed a service visit on my new fridge so I started with Geek Squad. After a long hold time I was transferred to manufacturer. More hold time, during which I was able to request service through manufacturer's website. That went well. I have noticed that the 5-year Geek Squad service contract is actually only 4 years since the manufacturer does all service calls for the first year and the contract expires 5 years after the installation. This seems wrong.
