    This reflects my experience with Lowes warranty service and how Best Buy promises to be better. Just over a year ago I purchased a Samsung from Lowes. After about a year and 2 months it stopped working. I did have the extended warranty so I called to make a claim. Lowes contracts with a third party to do repairs. They made a big deal about having the serial number and model number (which they should have already had from the purchase) so they could have the right parts. They arrived without the right parts and tried to order. Did not follow up well. I had to keep calling back and then find out they didnt think it was worth fixing. 4+ weeks later I am finally getting a check for the purchase price of the item. This is where Best Buy comes in. I asked about all of these things and they made it seem very easy and seamless. Geek Squad in most cases comes out for the repair. If they cant fix it, you get a new one. Their warranty also comes with power surge coverage which is not covered from Lowes. I havent had to make a claim but this is already better than Lowes.

    Get the warranty! We bought the warranty for our dishwasher and it was the best decision one month before the warranty expired our dishwasher broke and it got replaced with a new one so I bought the warranty for my washer and dryer because it will save you money if your breaks

    Always buy a warranty it's better to spend the extra money and have peace of mind than to get home and realize something's wrong and you can't fix it or have to come out of pocket

    5-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection

    Best Buy’s 5-Year Geek Squad Protection Plan is well worth the price to protect your major appliances. It saves you if your appliance needs repairs after the manufacturer warranty expires. If you did not have an extended warranty, appliance repairs are pricey. An appliance repair service call will generally run $100 just for the tech to walk into your house and then the cost of parts and the cost to install the part typically adds to a service call. With a 5-Year Geek Squad Protection plan there are no worries as they will repair as many times as needed.

    After a month of searching for a washer and dryer found this matching set at Best Buy. Glad I waited best purchase I’ve made in years Makes doing laundry, fun and easy. My wife can’t stop using them lol. I would recommend this washers and dryer for any husband trying to upgrade his wife with new tools to make it easier to get her job done.

    Ive had great success with the Geek squad protection in the past and so I bought it again. Unfortunately with the lack of luck Ive had with Washers and dryers the Geek Squad protection has really come in handy.

    Purchased a 3-year protection plan for a LG refrigerator in January 2019. Water has been dripping from the ice dispenser for several weeks. There is no ability to set up in home appointments online, but by phone only. Getting to talk to BB customer service rep takes literally hours, with an average waiting time of at least an hour. No point asking for a return call when they don't do it. Best Buy uses third party contractors. They sent a tech in early June. He told us there was nothing wrong with the fridge, cleaned it and left. Second appt was set up for today. Received 2 texts and 2 voice message reminders in last 2 days. At 9:15 today I got a text from the third party contractor to notify me the appt had been cancelled. No reason whatsoever. I've been waiting for BB return call for more than 3 hours (they were supposed to call back in 1 hour 17 minutes).

    I've had a repair person out for another appliance under warranty and he said that any major repair on newer appliances will always cost more than the warranty. He's not in the warranty sales business but said he buys the warranty - and he repairs appliances for a living!

    I had so many problems with this dryer when first purchased. The heating element went out after about a month of having it. It was worked on about 6 different times before they replaced the heating element. No problems after it was replaced.
