    I received a voicemail saying my dryer would be delivered at 3:30 on July 5th. I slept in after celebrating Independence Day thinking that would be okay. I wake up at 10am to find a text from 6:30am saying it would be delivered at 8:30am. It's no longer scheduled at that point so I call. I was lied to and told they tried to call three times. My call log showed one call at 8:18. She told me they attempted to leave a voicemail and were unable to do so. Also a lie. When I called my voicemail and played her the message where it said 3:30, proving she lied about being able to leave one as well as the original stated time of delivery. After checking my security camera I also see they arrived at 8:10 and left at 8:21. Prior to that she was adamant that the 6:30am text was sufficient notice in the 24 hour widow they claim on the website. I now have to wait three days and clear an additional 12 hours of my schedule to be able to wash my laundry because they can't handle a day after holiday delivery. Don't order from best buy

    Poorly Designed Dryer… Useless in 1 to 2 Years

    I’m one of those crazy people that didn’t mind special ordering this premium dryer because this is the only full sized heat pump dryer available in the US. In theory a heat pump dryer is supposed to use about half the electricity compared to a typical electric dryer. You will not see that performance for more than 6 months on this dryer because the lint filtration allows lint to get past the filters and into the heat exchanger. I read the reviews about how this model and the previous generation model had this issue. I figured most people don’t actually follow the cleaning procedure of cleaning the primary filter every time and the secondary after every 4 uses at which point you vacuum any lint in that access area in front of the heat exchanger. I cleaned both filters and vacuumed the access area every single use and in one year’s time the heat exchanger was completely clogged from what I can see in the access area with no way to get the lint out! I guess you can completely and I mean completely disassemble the dryer and use a pressure washer to clean out the heat exchanger once per year. Who has the money or expertise and time to do that once per year? Once the heat exchanger starts to get clogged any efficiency advantage over a traditional dryer goes out the window. Let it get clogged enough and it won’t even dry the clothes at all. After only 2 years of use this dryer is now unusable. How is that good for the environment? Such a waste of money. If Whirlpool knew the lint filters didn’t actually filter out all of the lint, they could have designed it so that the heat exchangers are sealed away from any other electronics and very easy to access to clean out with a hose once per year. If this is how the company designs a premium product, imagine how poorly made the more budget line products must be. Needless to say I’d stay away from this and any other offerings from Whirlpool.

    Major repair costs

    I have been happy with the machine but after 3.5 years it is not operable, and the replacement of a rusted drive is costing me $500. We are a family of three adults and the machine is not heavily used.

    Don’t make them like the used to

    I’ve had this machine for 4 years. I got a three year protection plan and now the washer is broken. We tried to replace the balance coils or springs and it worked for about 10 loads now it’s done just keeps going unbalanced.

    No delay start feature

    I bought this dryer in large part because on the Best Buy website, it says it has a delay start feature. However, this is an error on the Best Buy website - the dryer has no delay start feature. Very disappointing! Otherwise the dryer works fine. Best buy needs to better proofread their websites.

    Abismal experience with 3-Year Protection Plan

    I bought the 3 year protection plan for my Whirlpool washer and dryer. I am having someone come out for a 4th or 5th time because the washer cannot maintain balance. They replaced stabilizing rods, adjusted the rods, adjusted the feet, nothing works. I have to get a day off work because they will not give you a time for your appointment until the day before. I don't understand how they think people can just block off entire days over and over because their technicians cannot fix a washer. The dryer had a defect in the front panel causing the finish to rub off inside. They had to order a replacement 3 times because it kept arriving dented. The technicians have set tools and parts on a fabric topped hamper in my laundry area, causing grease stains on the fabric. I would not buy an appliance from Best Buy in the future, nor their warranty.

    Do not buy anything at best buy that they do not have in stock, I have been waiting for this washing machine for 15 days and they have already canceled 3 times. They invent a thousand lies until they finally accept that they don't have it. They demand an appointment and no one informs you that they canceled it, but you check and the status says that you have to make a new appointment. The purchase is for July 4th, today they tell me that for the 17th, but that it is a better option for August 20th, because they will surely cancel it again. They say it's LG's fault. The two previous purchases were lost and now this. Best Buy's service is a real piece of crap. And don't try online support because it's worse, the service goes out and they cancel the chat because you don't answer.

    ALERT - Overlaps with Manufacturer Warranty!!!

    When purchased, it was said that the Best Buy Geek Squad Appliance Warranty extended the Manufacturer's Warranty, but it does not! It starts from the purchase date and redundantly covers the Manufacture's Warranty meaning that a 3-year warrantly is only as good as the different of the Manufacturer Warranty. If the Manufacturer Warranty covers 1 years, then a Best Buy 3-year warranty is effectively only covering 2 years. They say it cover beyond the Manufacturer Warranty, but the Manufacturer Warranty covers everything so in reality they are basically just taking your money for the period of your Manufacturer Warranty. This is fraudulent in my eyes. I would not recommend based upon this overlap and would simply recommend sticking with Manufacturer's Warranty and extended that when it expires. Extremely disappointed with this overlapping Best Buy Geek Squad Appliance Warranty - I would NOT recommend!!!

    Don't waste or money or time with this protection

    Worthless protection plan. I'm currently requesting a refund of my geek squad protection plan. I contacted geek squad to schedule a repair for my washer. The contact took 1 hour to get scheduled. On top of that, the repair appointment was scheduled for 10 days out with a 3rd party, not even best buy geek squad. Best buy set me up with Sears as a 3rd party repair. Today was my scheduled appt from 8am-5pm. At 417pm I received a text from Sears rescheduling my appointments from today to 11 days from now. After I've Been waiting all day for the tech to arrive. Absolutely unacceptable. Called best buy geek squad 8004335778 and it's been absolutely the run a round. Do not waste your time buying this protection or anything else from best buy. Their customer service is horrible.

    Don't waste your money. I have tried twice to get an appointment to repair my washer and both times it was cancelled by Best buy the same mooring of the appointment without any reason. They offer this service and just take the money without being available to do the repairs
