I get protection plans on everything I but because you never know. I love geek squad!

This is a good price to know if I need anything I can call the Geek Squad.

Nice offer and glad that protection was available for 3 years. This is helpful so that I am not forced to purchase a 5 year or 10 year protection plan.

When purchasing large items I have found over the years to have protection is key if anything should happen as it did for me.

I purchased a new dishwasher with a 5-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection plan. Two years later, our dishwasher started throwing an error code. A service technician arrived and ordered a couple of parts. Two weeks later was the earliest we could get the technician back to our home to replace the parts that came in a week. The technician replaced the first part, but it continued to throw an error code, so he replaced the second part, and it is still throwing an error code. He proceeds to order another part, and two more weeks later, he arrives, replaces the part that came in a week, and the dishwasher throws an error code. We are a month into troubleshooting, and the technician is ordering more parts to throw at it. I asked what the next step would be, and he informed me that he would replace a previously replaced part and then go from there. Now we are at the head-scratching phase, and I can't get someone to make the call to replace the defective dishwasher. Instead, they want to continue throwing parts at it delaying the inevitable at the cost of my time. The technician says he is not authorized to make the call to replace the device and can only continue changing parts. The Geek Squad representative I called confirmed this. Only a district manager can call for replacement, but we, as customers, are shielded from these managers. I am beginning to question the usefulness of this protection plan if it doesn't allow an avenue for replacing a defective device.
