    I always buy this protection and I swear it never fails me. if I need any assistance or need my device replaced for any reason geek squad is always there for me. I like how Best Buy gives you the option to buy the protection at a discounted price yea its ONLY for that particular device but its so worth it! if you don't purchase the geek squad protection with any purchase (that's eligible) from Best Buy then your going to be coming out of pocket for repairs and possibly a new item and it will end up being a pretty penny!

    I think this is a great deal. They helped me with fixing my laptop and answering questions I had concerning maintenance. Worth the price.

    Just purchased a new Sony 75'' tv and the 2 yr extended Geek Squad warranty. Brought it home myself. They wanted 200.00 buck's to deliver and set it up. I got a friend to help with unboxing and set up. " It takes two people to unbox and set up this big tv. " Out of the box the new Sony TV has a bad Pixel. Red dot with a line all the way across the screen. First, I was asked to bring it back in for exchange myself? Of course I said no, I purchased the "Geek Squad Warranty ". They told me if I had any issues they'd come to my house and fix it.! Long story short. Even though I purchased the " Geek Squad Warranty " where they said they would come out and fix my tv at my house for no charge,... they said because it's still covered by the manufactures warranty they would have to send it back to the manufacturer for repairs! Could take weeks. They will exchange it and deliver me a new tv at no charge and set it inside my house and pick up the old new tv but that's it. I will be responsible for unboxing and setting up the new tv again myself and disposing of the big box and all of the packaging. Also, today is the 4th of July 2024, my appointment for receiving my replacement TV is 7/17/24, 13 day's from now and the the so called NARROW appointment window on the 17th is 7 am to 7 pm.!! Really?? Lol. I need to be available for 12 hours? Is the best we can do? I'm glad I have the warranty or I'd have to box this thing back up and return it myself but I'm disappointed that I got a defective tv, that's on Sony. I paid big buck's for what I expected to be a top Quality product! I'm also disappointed that Best Buy won't just come out and fix this TV, that's why I paid for the warranty! So I wouldn't have to go through all of this hassle with returns, exchanges etc.

    We recently bought a pc and cellphones. Best Buy has competitive pricing on products. We plan on getting an appliance in the near future and the 10% credit on this purchase can be forwarded to the appliance if we signed up for an in store card. I was uncomfortable this when it was necessary to provide my SS# and drivers license. Still hoping this all works out, we get the discount promised to us, and Best Buy data base doesn't get hacked.

    Had an issue with my Samsung sound bar after attempting to trouble shoot it they ended up just giving me store credit and letting me upgrade to a newer version without any issues

    NICE SONY BRAVIA SMART TV

    After doing research on televisions we purchased a LG 55 inch. Brought it back the next day, no hassle return too, because it was just too big for our small living room and the sound was not great either. We exchanged it for a 48 inch Sony Bravia TV. That was the best move we could have made. The picture is crisp, the sound is incredible from the built in speakers, much better than the LG, and it is a SMART TV also. Price was right too. I have to say also that the salesman who helped us was tremendous. Very knowledgeable and courteous. It's nice when you can get answers to questions you don't know to ask. We have never been fans of Best Buy, but I believe this whole experience turned us around. They really know their stuff. Thank You.....

    Great thing to have, some people say it will never go bad. Well if the manufactures warranty is 1 year and the TV gets hit by lightning surge and Fry's the circuitry 1 year and 1 day later you are out of luck. If you have one of these plans your covered.

    Had this on my last TV, it began having issues just before plan expired so I got lucky. BB kept trying to repair it but then something else came up. I was kind of ticked off as it was costing more to keep trying useless repairs. Finally after over 3 months of failed attempts they called it a wash. I took the full credit and upgraded to a better set. It was a pain but in the end they apologized when they reveiwed my purchase history. I got another 5 year plan for the new TV.

    I needed service on another TCL TV with dead pixels after the manufacturer warranty ran out. Service guy assessed the issue as unrepairable. So, the extended warranty kicked and a new a TV was ordered. Delivered yesterday and I completed the set up. All is well again.

    Hopefully won't need it but was relatively lower priced than other insurance. Can't take any chances nowadays with tech.

    Always get the GSP on TVs. ya never know how much you use them now and they arent built like appliances. appliances are built to last 10 years. but TVs arent, and TVs have alot more functionality and use so Id always get GSP on TVs/

    We are really glad we invested in the coverage. Our LG tv developed an issue with the screen turning purple across the entire screen shortly after its warranty expired. When we looked online, it was very apparent that LG knew about this issue, and was not standing behind their products. Fortunately we had purchased the warranty so most of the cost of a replacement was covered. Was some confusion that 3 people in the store and management chain told us the entire purchase price would be applied when we purchased a more expensive replacement, but then the manager who rung the 2 tvs we were buying all the sudden the deal changed and we didn't get full credit. A little fishy, but we were still glad we had the warranty.
