Technically challenged
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.No one ever came that could remedy tv to work with home theatre and harmony remote. Geek squad had installed home theatre equipment! Get run around told ticket was closed! Very dissatisfied.

Geek squad great- Toshiba died after 9 months-
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this 9 months ago and it was delivered and set up by the Geek squad. They did an awesome job and showed me how to use the tv. am an older lady and live alone. The tv worked fine until 2 days before Christmas when vertical lines appeared instead of a picture. As it is supposedly under a one year warranty l called Toshiba who referred me to Hisense customer service. After an hour of troubleshooting and texting them my receipt and everything else they asked for they asked me to take a picture of the screen. I did and sent it to them. They first turned me down because the receipt wasn’t in the proper format. When they decided the online receipt was okay they then told me l must have damaged the screen. I have never even touched the screen. I live alone and the tv had not been moved. It became obvious that they were just looking for reasons not to honor the warranty. So buyer beware. Toshiba/ Hisense do not honor their warranty and your tv could die after 9 months. No more Toshiba or Hisense products for me.

Fast, Easy, and Worth Every Penny

I went right through the Best Buy app, got product support, and was able to schedule an appointment in minutes. They sent multiple reminders, so I always knew what was happening. The technician called me with more than an hour’s notice the morning of the appointment. He arrived on time, was personable, and walked me through everything he was checking. Even though my TV wasn’t acting up during the visit, he explained that my model had known issues and told me what options might be available. Within the same business day, he let me know my claim was approved and gave me the replacement order number on the spot. He closed out the claim for me, and I’m getting a replacement TV without any hassle. For the price I paid for the protection plan, this was absolutely worth it. Easy to use, easy to access, and it actually delivers on what it promises.

Black outs no picture and thank you geek squad for the quick response into helping me get a new tv under the manufacturer warranty, they are very helpful and every flexible and fast thank you Really worth the putting the protection plans on the tvs saved me 200 bucks!

Geek Squad awesome

Once the tv was out of manufacturer warranty the tv started have black bars show up in white scenes and you could the tv was losing its picture as well. Called geek squad to report a case and since it made more economical sense than try to repair they replaced the tv with one that cost the same price. This happened in November so the sale prices were in effect i was able to get a better U7 55 Inch free. If you're spending $500 or more on a tv always get the extended service.

Excellent Television, One Feature Design Flaw

It is a larger TV for the kitchen with a 27-inch screen that is designed to fit under most kitchen counter spaces. I understand it can serve well as a computer monitor according to other positive reviews. The LED picture quality is excellent. For reference, my input source is an over-the-air antenna and streaming signals which has an uncompressed quality signal, versus cable. The unit sound is very good. Some other reviews downgrade the speaker quality but you can easily adjust the sound for different types of video in the settings. The TV is not heavy for its size. Another positive, it rests on its flat base instead of having a stand. Now for two cons depending on your set-up and desire for a TV. First, the wall plug is a large adapter wall plug which is a small obstacle depending on your A/C power access. You can always use an extension cord or other adapter between the wall outlet and TV adapter plug-in as necessary, not a real problem. Secondly and more significantly, the unit comes with a standard remote instead of a more capable 'magic' type remote found on other sets. The problem here is that the television recognizes voice but the remote does not have this feature to match the TV capability. It is a standard remote without a 'microphone' button found on more capable LG 'magic remotes.' Surprisingly, LG does not even offer another compatible, capable LG remote with voice recognition for this model set. The 'only' workaround is to download the "LQ thinQ" app to your smartphone for voice recognition to reach the television. That would be a reason to rate four stars here. It may not be a deal breaker, but definitely leaves one to question... why?

Got a 2 day away service call to fix TV!

I forgot that I had purchased the 5-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection plan until the other day when I found my receipt for TV. 11 months ago we bought a new 55" Insignia Fire TV. For the past month it has been changing channels in the middle of movies/programs and going to the TV Guide. Sometimes the TV just shuts off. So anyways, I found the protection plan, called Geek Squad and had an in person service call within 2 days! Now that is awesome service!! They come tomorrow. I hope they can figure it out as this new TV has been a lemon since we bought it last December 11 months ago.

More than a TV a whole experience

I was impressed from the very start, unboxing. The television was well packed and protected, removal from the box was easy and well thought out. We mounted the television on the wall it took 2 people but was easy as was hooking up the cables. Setting up everything was very easy with on screen instructions, connection to the internet was quick and easy, watching programs in no time. The picture is amazing, sound quality is great, lots of features. The Magic Remote is a great accessory to have, it allows you to control the TV by using the buttons or pointing at the TV and using the selector wheel, there is also voice control, the hardest part may be deciding which option to use. The remote can also control other devices such as a cable box ,there are many apps installed like Hulu, YouTube , Netflix, and others. LG Channels is installed and is like having your own free cable service. We thoroughly love and enjoy the LG NANO series TV with AI ThinQ and recommend to any one. Update, I really like the magic remote and the app screen. There are so many different apps to choose from and the magic remote makes navigation easy , the more I use it the more I want to use it. After using my tv for a while we are still loving it. I think my favorite feature is the magic remote and how easy it makes navigating the home screen. Just press the home button and all my options appear on screen, I can choose from apps like Netflix, youtube, disney+ and more or I can go to the home dashboard where it is easy to understand the different tv inputs or options. while you are in the home dashboard you can still watch you favorite program. Lots to explore and use , a great experience.

Best protection plans

They always have the best prices and will price match if not. I always opt for the additional Geek squad protection. Ive always been satisified with the process of filing claims as its very easy. When looking at a big purchase I consider the length of the protection plan when choosing where I buy. Best buy always has the longest protection plans for the best price. Always buy geek squad protection you wont regret it!

Great sound!

The sound is amazing, like a theater. The picture is great, the remote has a learning curve. No numbers so it takes a bit the get to far away channels. Had a struggle rescanning for channels. Online was no help. Zero.

I've purchased this before with my older TV and needed to be fixed before the 5 years were up. They sent someone to make sure it was broken, and within an hour, got a credit for a new TV. Best deal ever if you're buying an expensive TV. Futureproof!
