Always buy the plans, they have paid for themselves many times over. I had a 55 inch HD tv break after a year, the let me have a new one. That one then broke about almost two years later, so they let me have yet another one (a new model since the old was gone).

Some folks believe that the Geek Squad Protection plan is just another gimmick to get more money from the customer. Its like any insurance. You purchase it hoping never to have to use it.

A must have for your expensive purchases and make sure to get the max time ones because things usually break after the 3yr mark.

Includes burn in protection, 5 years is great for early oled tech that still have a small risk of burn in. I’ll be fully utilizing this if any burn in or dead pixels arise.

Although we couldn’t use them for most of the year because of the pandemic I would recommend them they know what they’re doing. I do believe anybody that had geek squad this year should have added service to the contract for the inconvenience.

I'm glad I have this! I'm not sure many people know of this or not but best buy warranties are one if not the only warranty that'll cover dead pixels AND burn in! I got an amazing deal on a 5-year plan and wouldn't have bought the TV without it!!!

I moved and was not aware that I could have my Geek Squad come to install my TV on the wall. This was during Covid-19 so website was confusing to order all the parts needed for this. Finally called and spoke to a person who got it all set. Install person was friendly and took time not to cause a mess while drilling holes.

I have always bought the extended warranty on purchases made at Best Buy, it has been a piece of mind anytime I’ve needed to use the warranty service .It’s always been a positive experience and well worth the money.
