It's a warranty, but not one you should be weary of. Most protection plans have gotten a bad stigma over the years, but this Geek Squad protection plan has never let me down. Best Buy has also been helpful and resolved any product issues I've had due to this warranty. Protection covers numerous categories, so give yourself the peace of mind and pickup the added coverage, it costs essentially the same as a weeks worth coffeeshop trips but now you're TV is worryfree for 2 years.

The process was worth it to protect my smart TV and the agents from the store helped me through it

I took it as a protection plan for my 65 inch. If you want a piece of my mind and not thinking of re freshening it for 5 or more years definitely recommend. Pluspoint we can transfer it to other device if we refresh. I checked other plans and by far it is best.

I have never paid for a extended warranty in my life I always thought they were worthless as the life of the product should last longer than what the warranty is offering. But I’m so glad I did. I had bought my dad a TV for Christmas and two years later some thing went out in it. I called the geek squad and they came out within a day and took a look at it. Unfortunately, my dad’s TV had been Discontinued. The part that they needed was unavailable. So they let my dad pick out a brand new TV comparable to the one that he had. Within a couple days they were back at the house installing and setting up the TV. I will always get an extended warranty on some things so expensive.

Make no mistake bout it...U Need 2 get it..we had a Lg HG, for3 yrs. Squad came to work on it, within a few minutes, after he left, had 2 call him back, 4 same thing. After 45 mins, he couldn't repair it. Went next day, got a brand new Lg..cost? 0. ALL modern electronics should be under and Extended Service Plan. From TVs to Computers, and Smart Phones, it seems, these days, that electronic devices can fail at a moment's notice. I've always believed in protecting my purchases with Extended Service Plans, and Geek Squad's Service Plans are no exception; I HIGHLY recommend purchasing a Geek Squad protection plan for all sensitive electronics.

So, this is a little tricky for me. We love Geek Squad and my husband has an account as well. We had to purchase this GS Protection because we could not purchase our new TV and get the appropriate protections under my husbands account with GS. No matter how we tried to place the order under my husbands name, Best Buy could not get the full warranty to show up because my husband already had GS and it wouldn't allow the full warranty to kick in on the new TV??? So, the only way to get the full warranty was to purchase the TV in my name and also start a GS account in my name, and now we have two. Not terrible, but I think this is a little shady and there should be a workaround. Speaking with the GS reps that came out to deliver and install, they also agreed that this shouldn't have been an issue.

I already used this on my new TV because of stuck pixels. I didn't want to have to take the tv back for an exchange, so i called geek squad and they fixed the issue in less than 20 minutes!

Overall, I am very satisfied with the 5-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection plan. It provides excellent coverage, convenient service options, and peace of mind knowing that my device is protected for an extended period. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to safeguard their electronics investment.

I always purchase the extra protection for my electronics. I’ve used it in the past and it paid off well!

I have quite a few 5-year warranties I'm so far I will say that they have done me pretty good. My LG C1 had issues they came and fixed it no problem. I also have it for my 65-inch LG C3 and an 48-Inch LG B4. I hope to not have to use it and I hope that if I do have to but I won't have any problems. So as for now it's a four-star rating
