    Can’t go wrong with the Geek squad!! They not only know about tv’s, computers & laptops but cell phones as well!! 2 thumbs up!!

    All I can say is buy the plan even if you think it is not needed..Best Buy protection stands behind its warranty and they are super easy to work with. If not for them the tv replacement I had to do after my new Samsung tv went out I would cost a lot more than what was spent on the protection plan.

    Best Protection you can buy at a bargain price.

    This is the best protection for all home electronics. We recently had to use it on a Large Screen TV (58 inch). The TV had a great picture, but kept having sound problems. After we had the Geek Squad out for a 3rd time in 2 years , we were given a fair credit on the unit and upgraded to a Sony 58 inch.

    I have not had to use this service yet and hope that I won't need to. Bought it 'just in case'. And because I haven't used Geek Squad (so I can't actually give an accurate star rating) I gave it 4 stars in hopes that if I have to use it, they will measure up to at least a 4, but hopefully will be a 5.

    The person who helped me in store was awesome he was a shift leader or something in the tv department who specializes in Samsung but is very knowledgeable and has excellent customer service skills, I went with a 5 year warranty since the bad TVs go bad around 3 years, excellent overall!

    I was a little reluctant at 1st to spend $450 for a 5 year warranty for my Samsung - 85" Class Q70A Series QLED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV. After reading the customer reviews from the customers that didn’t purchase it really regretted not purchasing the warranty. I feel much more comfortable now that I purchased the warranty for my tv.

    Misleading Two-Year Warranty

    I purchased the 2-year Geek Squad Protection Plan thinking it would provide immediate coverage if something went wrong with my new TV. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. What they don’t tell you upfront is that if your product is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, Geek Squad won’t help you, they’ll just refer you back to the manufacturer. That means you’re really only getting about one year of coverage, not two, because Geek Squad won’t step in until the manufacturer’s warranty expires. To make things even more frustrating, if your TV is wall-mounted, Best Buy won’t unmount it for you unless you pay an additional $150 or hire someone else to do it before they’ll even assist you. So, even though you pay extra for “full protection,” it doesn’t actually feel like full protection at all. This experience feels misleading and like false advertising. When you buy a 2-year protection plan, you expect help anytime during those two years, not to be bounced between companies or charged extra just to start the replacement process. Customers deserve better transparency about what this plan actually covers and when it applies.

    My Geek Squad Protection is the best purchase I could have made! I've had to use my plan twice so far since purchasing the TV. Once for the TV wireless capabilities, as the internal connector was not working, and once for the remote when the IR reader stopped working. The Geek Squad provided superior service both times. The wireless issue did take longer to solve, as the part was on back order for some time, but the Geek Squad kept in contact with me weekly to update me on the expected arrival and to let me know they'd not forgotten about me. Wonderful customer service!

    2 year protection is a must have for all products. I have a 3 year old daughter and she spilled orange juice on my Chromebook. Absolutely something that was my fault and typically i wouldn't expect to be refunded or covered here. No questions asked they took in my device, attempted to fix and when they could not I received a full credit a little over a month after dropping it off.

    Worth the extra dollars. Had purchased plan when we bought our wall mounted tv, Samsung 75". After about 4 1/2 years the set started to go bad (white dots on screen). lived with that for awhile, the found the protection plan. Called for a tech to look at the problem, took the units numbers, to find a replacement part. Part was not made anymore, so, the plan replaced old tv with a new one. purchased protection plan again for the new tv..

    I bought the 5 year Geek Squad protection for my previous Hisense TV that stopped working about 2 years later. It wasn't cost effective to fix it so they replaced it with another Hisense TV which I also bought another 5 year protection. I am so happy I had protection!

    I would never buy a product from Best Buy without their geek squad protection. I had a light blow out on an older tv & they had me with a new tv the same day in store. You can’t beat that kind of customer service.

    I purchased the 5 year protection plan on a previous tv. At 4 years and 11 months, the picture started to go out. Geek Squad was fast to come out and diagnose. Unfortunately, they didn't make the part anymore to fix it, so they gave me a gift card for a comparable tv that is 5 years newer. It was a no brainer to buy this protection for my next TV.

    Got Geek Squad for my LG Air Conditioner because the previous one on wheels broke after 2 years. Warranties like this are necessary with AC's that breakdown after a short time
