    Purchasing Geek Squad is the best investment that I have ever made. Well worth the money. Geek Squad replaced a TV and dishwasher that went bad.

    I’ve had extremely good luck with extended warranties. I’ve gotten a replacement for every item I purchased the plan for! The one TV I didn’t get one for, just burned me! It was a top of the line Sony and the repair estimate was $10,000.00!!! Buy the warranty. It’s worth every penny.

    Amazing tv and picture!!! Bright for a oled. I’ve had a mini led from Samsung and this is still superior to even mini led. My ps5 games look amazing. Even regular cable tv the details are just amazing. I have a bright living room and this still works great. Love it!!!

    They friendly and were very good about trying to help, but had to send off the tv anyway. Getting the appointment with them wasn't an easy task though

    I purchased a protection plan along with a TV purchase to ensure I had a working and functional TV for at least 5 years. The purchased TV was the high end of the brand at the time and we've enjoyed it. Unfortunately I cannot say the same regarding the protection plan. In my first year, we ran into issues with the TV. It was under manufacturers warranty, so they covered a motherboard replacement. Within a few weeks of the manufacturers warranty ending, ran into more issues with the TV. This is the reason I purchased the protection plan and thought I was covered. It was easy getting someone out to inspect and determine another motherboard replacement was needed. That was during my last week of my remote job. I have since started a new job that's 45mins away. I communicated this and the technician said it wasn't a problem and scheduled a Saturday appointment. The date rolls around and no communication from Best Buy all day. I call and am told no agent was assigned and would escalate my issue. It cascaded downhill more and more from here. I had a total of 5 escalations and >12 interactions with Best Buy customer service via chat, call, and in store. Then I'm finally told by someone at corporate that they don't have Saturday appointments in my area and said I should take PTO. It's a new job that I haven't received any PTO yet, so the rep was basically putting me in position to call out sick and hurt my reputation and employment status with this employer. I ask about options like exchanging or returning for store credit and was told that's not an option because they haven't gotten a chance to fix it. They won't work with you for Saturday appointments. So I've been stuck with a malfunctioning TV for months and am told my only option was to mail a complaint to corporate. I mailed a letter to corporate and still haven't received any type of communication. I've been a long time customer of Best Buy. Very disappointed by this situation and I feel cheated being stuck with a malfunctioning TV. Why would I ever shop at Best Buy again after an experience like this?

    I selected to purchase the Geek Squad Protection Service Contract for my 50 inch Samsung LED UHD TV because of the positive previous experiences with Best Buy's Geek Squad. I had my office laptop die on me and they assisted me in selecting a suitable replacement and completely recovered and transferred all of my previous data to the new laptop. I would not hesitate to purchase a service contract from them in the future

    Great for peace of mind, doesn't cover physical damage, wish there was an option for damage coverage on tvs at Best Buy

    Geek Squad Protection Plans

    I always purchase a Geek Squad Protection plan on large purchases. I feel better with the Geek plan than the item's manufacturing warranty. When using the warranty through the manufacturer, many problems evolve: ie time for replacement/repairs, shipping the item to the manufacturer, communication, etc. I had to use my Geek Squad protection plan on two large purchases and I was highly satisfied with the results!

    These warranties are excellent as they are serviced by geek squad which is part of best buy, not a third party which might not respond

    I bought a 40"LED TV Westington Brand 4 1/2 yrs ago in Best Buy plus the geek squad protection. About 3 yrs later.... that TV started to have problem, I called Geek told them the problem, and they told me there they would send a tech to my house to fix within 7 days. A tech called me that they ordered a part from the manufacturer, need to wait 7-10 days for the parts. He would contact me once the parts was here. I guess there is a policy stating after certain days If they couldn't fix your product, they will exchange a new one or if the product is out of stock, refund will be offered. I got the refund. But please keep your receipt for the proof.
