    Protection plan for new TV

    I usually don't get the protection plan but I bought a $2,000 television so I thought I ought to have to get the 5-year so now I feel safer. Mmmm much safe. I would recommend the protection plan on purchases over $1,000.

    Purchased for my new $2k Samsung TV after my old TV died after three years. I've only heard good things about this service so i feel it is well worth having that comfort of protection

    I think everyone should get this protection from the Geek Squad. They are very good and attentive to your needs. They absolutely know what they are doing and do their job well!! I am glad I got that extra protection because after 6 months my television started going and they were right there to help. Thank you Geek Squad..

    I hope to never use it on my resent purchase, but I did use it once on my 72" tv a few years ago and it paid off. They couldn't fix the tv so they replaced it with a brand new one. So worth getting the protection for a few hundreds than losing thousands of $.

    I got this protection plan for my tv and glad I am covered for 5 yesrs. Geek squad alway make things easier without all the hassle.

    Geek Squad is always a good decision because if anything goes wrong you can get it fixed with no extra out of pocket expenses. I have been purchasing Geek Squad for years and I would say Buy it you won't be sorry for the extra protection you get.

    Although I normally pass on extended warranties, I purchased this because my old set, a Samsung QLED, went out after 4 years. I guess I was a little shell shocked since I usually get 6-8 years out of a set. We’ll just have to see!

    Good deal overall and geek squad has not failed me yet. I have 3 years for my tv and if it dies I get the value of the tv brand new even if it breaks the last year on the last day of the warranty. That is piece of mind and worth the upfront cost.

    I bought a Hisense Roku t.v. that blinked out on me after a few years and I didn’t get the extended warranty. When I purchased the LG t.v. I definitely included an extended warranty package.

    My Landline Phone Log Information below: 1...Phone call to: Local Geek Squad in our local Best Buy Store Phone Call Log: 6/25/2020 12:13 PM Duration: On Hold for a total of 18 minutes 53 seconds 2...Geek Squad TV Home Theater Services (800) 433-5778 2. Phone Call Log 6/25/2020 12:34 PM Duration: On Hold for another 24 minutes 12 seconds After wasting nearly an hour on hold with no success we took our Purchase/Warranty Documents to our Local Best Buy Store to the Geek Squad Customer Service Counter and the Geek Squad Customer Service Person made us an appointment with the Geek Squad Home Warranty Service for Monday, June 29, 2020 between Noon and 8 PM CDT. Monday, June 29, 2020 at 11:39:42 AM CDT, our Geek Squad Technician arrived. viewed the TV, jotted down information from the back of TV, and informed us our TV could not be repaired, He stated that he would send me a text message with the Geek Squad Warranty Claims phone number and a claim number for a replacement TV covered under our warranty. The Geek Squad Technician left at 11:45:26 AM CDT, 5 minutes 44 seconds after arriving at our home to view our bad TV. At 12:39 PM CDT, 54 minutes later, we received a text message from the Geek Squad Technician for the Geek Squad Claims, Phone Number: 1-866-613-9853 and a Claim Number for the warranty to cover a new TV replacement. Phone call log: GEEK SQUAD CLAIMS (866) 613-9853 PLACED: 6/29/2020 12:41 PM CDT Duration: 12 minutes 6 seconds. Talked with a Geek Squad Agent, in the discussion with the Agent we let her know that our local store does not have a comparable TV and according to the Agent a similar TV is not available in any warehouse. The Agent said we did not have to decide immediately and we could take our time finding another TV set. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT GEEK SQUAD TV REPLACEMENT CLAIMS 1-866-613-9853 WE FINALLY WERE ABLE TO SPEAK TO AN AGENT AFTER ALMOST THREE (3) HOURS, BEING DISCONNECTED, REDIALING, DISCONNECTED, REDIALING, DISCONNECTED, REDIALING. THAT REALLY IS NOT THE WAY TO DO BUSINESS. NO EXCUSES! Our next #-1 attempt to call Geek Squad Claims: 1-866-613-9853 is found in our landline call log as: GEEK SQUAD CLAIMS PHONE NUMBER (866) 613-9853 PLACED: Thursday, July 2, 2020 at: 12:05 PM CDT Duration: ON HOLD FOR 1 hour 13 minutes 28 seconds with no answer and we were disconnected. Our next phone call #-2 to Geek Squad Claims: 1-866-613-9853 is found in our landline call log as: GEEK SQUAD CLAIMS PHONE NUMBER (866) 613-9853 PLACED Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 1:20 PM CDT Duration: ON HOLD FOR 20 minutes 52 seconds with no answer and we were disconnected AGAIN for the second time. Our next phone call #-3 to Geek Squad Claims: 1-866-613-9853 is found in our landline call log as: GEEK SQUAD CLAIMS PHONE NUMBER (866) 613-9853 PLACED Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 1:41 PM CDT Duration: 1 hour 5 minutes 51 seconds ON HOLD WITH GEEK SQUAD CLAIMS FROM: 12:05 PM CDT, Thursday, July 2, 2020 to approximately 2:41 PM CDT before we were actually able to speak with a Geek Squad Warranty Claims Agent about our TV replacement. Since a like similar TV was not available in any warehouse, we opted with the Geek Squad Claims Agent to take a Best Buy Gift Cash Card for the amount of the TV replacement. This was agreed to with us and the Agent before we ended our call at 2:47 PM CDT. Our Agent "G" promised on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 2:46 PM CDT to send us the money for our claim in the form of a Best Buy Cash Gift Card and said it would be arriving by UPS-United Parcel Service and I should be getting an email confirming this transaction with a UPS Tracking Number. SUNDAY, JULY 5, 2020 I AM STILL WAITING FOR THAT UPS TRACKING NUMBER. WHAT IS GOING ON? WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH, ON HOLD FOR NEARLY THREE (3) HOURS LAST THURSDAY, JULY 2, 2020

      This certainly does sound like a frustrating experience, and far from the level of service we expect to provide our customers.     Geek Squad Worth it Depending on the Product

    Geek Squad Protection is definitely worth it. In the case a dead pixel appears or the entire LED display goes out, they can replace or fix it pretty easily.
