Haven't used the protection plan and hope i don't have to, so no comment on how good it is yet.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The 5 year protection plan is the only plan that is worth it in my opinion, as 1 or 2 years is too short of a time for anything to happen to a TV. But 5 years is long enough for some kind of accident to happen, especially if you have kids.

Adding this to major appliances such as a TV is a good idea. I prefer working with Geek Squad and the local store ofer the manufacturer.
