    Good experience with Hisense and Bestbuy Geek Squa

    Hisense 65QD7N is a very nice tv with bright colors. I liked the fact that it had 4 hdmi connections with speeds up to 2.1. It is not too heavy so it is easy to mount it on the wall by yourself. I also bought Geek Squad protection plan to have peace of mind for 5 years. Unfortunatelly the one corner of the tv had a white cloud, which was very disturbing while watching dark scenes, so I contacted Hisense customer service and they decided after sending the repair technician that my TV is a lemon, so they sent me a check for full refund. I did not have to use Geek Squad plan as My tv was still on manufactures warranty period. Bestbuy returned the money for unused protection plan. Great service from Hisense and Bestbuy. Overall good experience as ended up with buying Samsung S90d Oled which is perfect.

    Second One I’ve Bought and I’m Happy…

    So far so good! I’m only inputing 1080P into it because I’m using it as a computer monitor at work. I had bought the 65 inch in this model for a small conference room at work and was impressed, so when this was on sale and they had an open box deal, I jumped. It’s more than bright enough, and the little that I’ve used the speakers, they’re not horrible for what they are, but I wouldn’t want to use them for watching movies in a family room. I’m a speaker snob though. I installed this and the 65 myself.

    I could go both ways with geek squad. I have taken in laptops with starting/power issues. Because they happen to start once while the unit is there its fine. Not always. I have had a tech come to my house to repair a tv. The TV didn't work when they came, and worked when they left. But, certain features were never the same or non existant. The tech pulled my control board, looked at it and then the replacement. Apparently the numbers didn't match because he held it in position and had to check that all the connections were the same. The TV just wasn't the same afterwards. Slower, and the picture quality was not the same. I really believe that the replacement board was for a lesser model of the same TV. As far as the warranty that I always purchase on big electronics, I couldn't be happier except when sub standard parts are used. They did end up replacing that tv though. The screen finally went bad and hisense doesn't offer replacement screens. Or didnt at that time.

    Giant TV, Amazing Picture

    I love this huge TV! The picture is excellent! The full-array local dimming on this TV outperforms my cheaper direct-lit 4K TV. Trust me, it makes a huge difference! Especially on newer movies with Dolby Vision, it is amazing! The pictures don't do this TV justice. Heck, even the demo in store doesn't do this TV justice! I did go over budget purchasing this TV, but even my wife is very happy with it. I think it's money well spent for the size and picture quality. Hope this helps

    These are worth it in my opinion, no matter what you may be buying. Often times, something may quit on you just as a year has passed. Twenty bucks just gives you a little reassurance.

    The Geek Squad protection is a must, especially if you buy a lot of technology like I do. It’s a small investment versus replacing a washer, large appliance or expensive item from Best Buy. The Geek Squad was super helpful when I needed someone to help me install my 65-inch TV. It’s a smart investment.

    I purchased the five-year standard Geek Squad protection when I bought my new TV because I like the feeling that if anything goes wrong with my TV in that period of time, I'll have the sense that the Geek Squad will fix any problems they may incur during that period of time

    There’s a better way to work with geek squad

    So I was in a crunch with a rental lease I needed printed but it would not print. After days of trying everything I could think of, I went in to see what I wasn’t doing correctly. That’s all I needed. I had the least on a thumb drive but it still wouldn’t work. That’s how simple it should have been but unfortunately, this day was the first day they made a policy to ONLY WORK WITH APPOINTMENTS. So you have 6 geeks having a great time behind the counter asking people as they walked up “do you have an appointment?” And like me, “no I just need to ask you why this isn’t working”. “Sorry, you have to have an appointment And you’ll have to go to the front counter and they will make you an appointment” I witnessed six people having a great time turning customers away.

    Warranties are great to ensure your product's lifeline. So far i didn't need it so far, but it's always a good investment, you never know what could happen and best buy's warranties have solved some issues in the past when i needed ;)

    Purchasing the 2-Year Protection Plan for my new TV was one of the smartest decisions I made. The plan offers solid peace of mind by covering unexpected damages that the manufacturer’s warranty doesn’t, such as accidental drops, spills, or power surges. The registration process was quick and simple, and the customer service team was helpful and responsive when I had questions. While I haven’t had to file a claim yet (thankfully), knowing that I’m covered for repairs or even a replacement if something goes wrong makes me feel much more secure about my investment. The cost of the plan was reasonable compared to the price of the TV, and considering how expensive repairs can be, it feels like a worthwhile safety net. I also like that there are no hidden fees or deductibles if I ever need to use it. Overall, I highly recommend adding the 2-Year Protection Plan to any major electronics purchase — it’s a small price to pay for major peace of mind.

For example, the TCL TV setup was quick and efficient, and the technician ensured everything was working perfectly, including the Smart Fire TV features. Similarly, the PS5 Slim setup was handled with care, and the technician even walked me through some of the console’s features. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the service can be a bit pricey, especially for minor issues that might be resolved with a little more time and research. Additionally, scheduling availability can sometimes be limited, depending on your location. Overall, Geek Squad is a trustworthy service for those who want peace of mind and professional assistance with their tech needs.     Can’t beat it. Something not working the way it did when you got it? Take it back and get another one. No mailing anything off. Which is why I get all my electronics from Best Buy and not anywhere else
