Unless you want to lose money instead of getting the item repaired/replaced with store credit, I always recommend family and friends to get GSP. it's worth the extra bucks in the event of any issues the item you have develops.

Love having the protection on my products in case something happens, because you never know, it's better to buy it than not need it, than to not buy it and need it, especially since the plan is cheaper than having to buy another product! Geek Squad protection plans are very good. The main reason that I go to Best Buy and purchase products is that they have one of the best protections plans. we even purchase our cell phones at best buy, because their protection plans are better than our cell phone provider offers. another huge plus, is that you can reach and actually talk to a Customer Service Rep. who are very pleasant and professional.

I typically choose Geek Squad Protection over the manufacture's extended warranty since Geek Squad is easy to reach and has been very responsive for the other items I've covered this way.

It's a must buy when I purchase an item with a high price. If anything goes wrong best buy will either fix the item or replace it with a similar item. So I always make sure I buy the extra protection. It saves me from frustration.
