    I have always been a fan of Best Buy Service Plans. Granted it is like every other insurance: you hate paying for it, but you hate not having it when you need it. I have been on both sides of Best Buy Service Plans: I have purchased some and never used it and I have purchased some and used it. The experiences that I have had using them have all been good so I continue to purchase the service plans.

    @BestBuy @BestBuySupport I am going through a nightmare customer service at Geek Squad Scranton 959 Viewmont Dr Dickson City, PA 18519 I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent experience with Best Buy's Geek Squad installation service. I purchased a Samsung 75” Class LS03D The Frame Series QLED 4K TV with Anti-Reflection and Slim Fit Wall Mount Included on August 17th, 2024. I scheduled a Geek Squad appointment for TV setup and mounting on August 23rd. During this appointment, the technicians suggested that I hide all the cables, including those from the TV and soundbar. I agreed and rescheduled for August 28th. To my dismay, the team that arrived on August 28th had no idea how to mount the Frame TV. They suggested using the old mount from my previous TV, which was completely against the purpose of purchasing the Frame TV. The team left without mounting the TV and instructed me to reschedule the installation service. I called Geek Squad and spoke with Andy, who informed me that the system was not updated and that I would need to wait 24 hours before calling back to schedule. I followed their instructions, only to be told the same thing again. After waiting an additional 24 hours and calling Geek Squad again, I was informed that the system still had not been updated and that I would need to wait another 24 hours. As a customer who has been waiting for my TV since August 17th, I am extremely frustrated and disappointed. It is unacceptable that I have to repeatedly call Geek Squad and beg for them to schedule a service that they have already botched. Their lack of efficiency, knowledge, and customer service is truly appalling. I urge Best Buy to take immediate action to address this issue. I expect a resolution that includes a prompt and correct installation of my TV, as well as compensation for the inconvenience and frustration I have experienced. Just to add into the story I spoke to the manager they reach out to me through DM chat when I posted the same concern over social media.. but again told me to wait for another 24 hours telling me they "escalated" just to tell you whenever they tell you they are escalating means they are going to add 24 hours with every escalation but they will not fix your problem just give you another 24 hours. they are flying pigeons to get across internal communication to resolve any issue. run for your life when the representative tell we are escalating Sir.

    My lg tv broke after 3 years, luckily I had geek squad, they could not fix tv so gave me gift card for what I originally paid and used it on new and better tv….I always get geek squad, no brainer

    I've thankfully only had to use the protection plan a few times, but the service and resolutions were always satisfactory. I wouldn't get for cheap items, but anything over $500 is definitely worth it! I buy many items from best buy, and always get the protection plan for major items.

    One of the main reasons that I feel comfortable shopping at Best Buy is because of the Geek Squad, and the Warranty that they offer on certain products that you purchase. They have always gone above and beyond to refund, repair, replace, in order to take care of their customers.

    geek squad protection is great to have espcially for a quality product. 5 year will comfort me in knowing that im covered. its great to have. hopefully wont need it but you never know.

    Our TV died and fortunately we had the Geek Squad warranty. When they came they were very courteous and professional. Knew exactly what the problem was and explained everything in terms we could understand. Unfortunately he couldn’t fix it but we got our money back and we’re able to buy a new one right away.

    I've used this type of protection on products I've purchased in the past, and it was helpful to have it in place when needed. Fortunately, I have not used this very often, and I hope I do not need to for this most recent purchase. I'm giving it 5 stars based on ease of use for past products I've owned that needed replacement, repair, or a quick tweak at the store.

    Thankfully I haven't had to use this service as of yet, but there's nothing like that piece of mind should anything malfunction. I purchased this protection plan for a Smart TV purchase, and would recommend anyone making a high end purchase to get this protection plan. It only cost a few bucks extra and could really help should anything happen to your tech equipment.

    Hopefully I will never need this 5-year protection plan for my new insignia 58 inchTV, but if I do, the price of 59.99 seems like a really great investment for additional protection.
