    Bought the protection plan to preserve my investment, but time will tell when i call on them to hopefully remedy any problems that may arise with the samsung 7900u

    Had an issue with my 3 year old 75” Samsung. It needed a new part, so I waited 2 weeks for the repair to happen, which was fine for us because we have another tv. When they got here the part they brought was wrong so he went outside to order it and at that point decided it wasn’t worth it to replace that (and ended up needing a couple other parts that they didn’t realize we needed) so they told us we needed to replace it. It took me maybe 20 minutes to call in the replacement and in a week we had our new tv delivered and the old one was taken out. It would have been extra to have it mounted by geek squad so we opted out but we were so happy with how easy it was for the whole process. So worth it!! And I am assuming it took so long (about 3 weeks total) because of where we live — in the middle of nowhere. I will never buy another tv without geek squad protection!

    We purchased this option as to protect this $1000 unit. We had a great Samsung for 2 years with no Geek protection from BB. Any item that has potential of under-life potential will have this morning forward.

    Definitely recommend getting this for large purchases. I've never needed to use it. But it definitely is a peace of mind. I know people that have used it. I have a family member that Is a best buy manager and they fully recommend it as it does pay for itself most tye time

    I bought a 43 inch tv a couple months ago. It got stuck on the loading screen. Tried a manual clear cache and a factory reset to no avail. Called geeksquad I bought a 5 year plan. Even though the tv was over the 30 day in store return since it was pretty new they swapped it out. I hear the horror stories of people and the insurance but in may case they were great. They were really polite and they were here the next morning with my replacement television. I would recommend getting the insurance for anything you care about keeping. I feel a little better knowing that if anything happens they will take care of it quickly. And the people that came to our house cared and were extremely professional and courteous. Kudos to best buy, I will always get protection on any significant purchase and can rest easy knowing Im not going to get a run around and excuses..Thank guys !

    About 3 years ago I helped an old friend who is very technologically challenged by a 58” tv. I made sure she bought the 5 year warranty from Best Buy. Just in case. We the just in case happened and the tv failed. I called Best Buy on her behalf and was quickly and efficiently forwarded to a really patient and knowledgeable customer service representative . Following a few questions he informed me the tv was not repairable and that the full purchase price would be refunded. We talked about applying that amount to a newer better larger tv and within 5 minutes delivery date was set. We, of course opted for a new 5 year warranty. A few days later new set arrived and old one taken away. I installed the new set and my friend could not be happier. Great service.

    Always purchase Geek Squad protection. The best part of Geek Squad is when your device is not repairable, they will replace it with a current like device or cash you back to what you paid for it.

    Nothing bad to say at this time. The price was good.....$79.99 for five years coverage ( no accidental coverage ). Everything else is covered and they'll come to your house to fix it.

    Honest service. They won't jerk you around trying to get paid for doing unnecessary repairs. The techs are knowledgeable. Although the products are good, they often fail after the manufacturer's warranty, which is a common practice (planned obsolescence). Geek Squad is there to honor and help.

    Looks amazing. Sounds amazing. The speakers on the TV are better than my soundbar. Bright enough to see clearly when my drapes are open in a sunlit room. Looks great playing on my PS5 too. Nothing more I could ask for...except maybe seeing a little extra info in the menu. Specifically, I would like to see the frame rate numbers. I cannot find that in the menu.

    Absolutely get an extended warranty. If you don’t have an issue great, but you loose if you don’t have a warranty and your basic warranty is up, you’re out. You will get credit back and don’t have to deal with OEM, shipping, etc. Just do the warranty and get no hassle Best Buy return the same day, unless it’s a TV then you have to go thru their service center but still bought another warranty with the next TV.

    Just bought a LG TV in purchases this plan January 2025, hope I never have to use it, you can rest better that our TV is covered for the next 5 years.

    Warranties warranties warranties are they with it??? I can only go by my most recent personal experience and I have to say ABSOLUTELY. We owned a 2017 LG LED 4K HDR tv. We have been having an issue with it for the past year and a half and we honestly didn’t remember if we bought the 3 or 5 year warranty. After checking with Best Buy we indeed had warranty until 2022. Our TVs HDMI 1 port stopped working, the Ethernet port stopped working and every time we turned the TV back on all of our settings would be reset. Annoying. Also we could see faint vertical banding when the camera would move horizontally. Especially in the sky. Looked like vertical smudges. Geek squad came over and evaluated the TV. At first I couldn’t reproduce the banding issue but all of the other issues pointed to a module they said they would order and when it arrived they would come back and install it and it should fix all the issues. They said they would evaluate the banding when they returned. I found some content that showed the banding when they came back and they didn’t even bother opening the box of the part they ordered. They went ahead and deemed my TVs LCD defective and offered me a replacement. We chose a new Sony 950H as the replacement and we couldn’t be happier. WAAAAAAYYY Better TV than what we had. Being we had a great experience with Best Buy’s warranty. We purchased another 5 year warranty for this replacement. Thanks Best Buy. That was great customer service.

    The first unit I had developed an audio problem where audio would drop out or become very distorted on TV speakers, external audio or earphones. Tried several troubleshooting techniques but no luck. Called Best Buy as I had Geek Squad Protection and they decided to send a new unit to replace it. The call took over an hour after being transferred to five different reps. Why not have one phone number that handles protection plans, thus minus one star for that and audio problem on review. The replacement arrived promptly and I set up the new TV. The picture is class leading! HDR and gaming are flawless. At 120 hz refresh rate there is no lag in signal. The audio still has a delay issue when using external audio system. I have 120hz HDMI cables. I’ll look into my setup to be sure it’s not my configuration. The Sony interface could have been more streamlined as there are three buttons on remote to bring up various menus and some are redundant. The software has extensive methods to change TV settings. I’m hoping for future firmware updates to resolve minor issues. For QD OLED I wouldn’t consider another brand coming from an LG OLED TV.
