    When I invest in a big-screen tv, I want to protect my investment! That's why I always buy a Geek Squad Protection Plan! I've needed to use the warranties on several occasions, and the experience was very satisfactory. Sometimes they replaced the item, refunded the purchase price, or repaired the item. I actually have a 3 1/2 year old blu ray player in the Geek Squad shop right now--under a 4-year extended warranty that I purchased for the item! This time they are repairing it, but that's fine with me. It's so nice that after using it for 3 1/2 years, now that it's not working my extended warranty is kicking in and more than paying for itself!!!

    I always purchase the extended warranty with all my products at Best Buy. Geek Squad are alway professional, prompt and very knowledgeable when dealing with the issues I have had with my products. However the best thing about the warranty is the procedure for replacing repair or just providing you with an in store credit for replacement at the cost you paid for the product if they do not have a comparable replacement.

    While it took several days longer to get a Geek Squad agent to my home than I would have preferred, their performance was stellar. They quickly diagnosed the issue, explained the problem clearly and discusses next steps. The following day the agent who came to home informed me that there would be a delay in obtaining the need part and arranged for a complete refund of my purchase, service contract and taxes so I could replace my Hisense TV with a new set of my chosing. In the end, I have a new TV, a new 5 year warranty and almost $100.00 in store credit left over.

    I hope to never need this service, but if I do, it is nice to know that I don't have to haul the TV in for service, it will be repaired in my own home!

    The Geek Squad is wonderful. I had a stroke and needed help several times. They were great and walked me through to resolve any issue. I would never use my computer without knowing they were there to help.

    Almost 2 years ago, I purchased a 65" Sharp Roku TV from Best Buy. I'd never purchased an extended warranty before, but this time I did and now I'm glad. About a month before the warranty expired, pale streaks started showing up on my screen. I called Best Buy and they sent a technician out. The panel was going bad and they couldn't get a replacement, nor was the TV still offered. The technician gave me paperwork and told me to take it to my local store. Sure enough, they took care of me! I picked a new TV, paid just the difference in cost from the original, and a week later the new TV was delivered and the old one taken away. And yes, I bought the extended warranty for the new one.
