Just purchased a new Sony 75'' tv and the 2 yr extended Geek Squad warranty. Brought it home myself. They wanted 200.00 buck's to deliver and set it up. I got a friend to help with unboxing and set up. " It takes two people to unbox and set up this big tv. " Out of the box the new Sony TV has a bad Pixel. Red dot with a line all the way across the screen. First, I was asked to bring it back in for exchange myself? Of course I said no, I purchased the "Geek Squad Warranty ". They told me if I had any issues they'd come to my house and fix it.! Long story short. Even though I purchased the " Geek Squad Warranty " where they said they would come out and fix my tv at my house for no charge,... they said because it's still covered by the manufactures warranty they would have to send it back to the manufacturer for repairs! Could take weeks. They will exchange it and deliver me a new tv at no charge and set it inside my house and pick up the old new tv but that's it. I will be responsible for unboxing and setting up the new tv again myself and disposing of the big box and all of the packaging. Also, today is the 4th of July 2024, my appointment for receiving my replacement TV is 7/17/24, 13 day's from now and the the so called NARROW appointment window on the 17th is 7 am to 7 pm.!! Really?? Lol. I need to be available for 12 hours? Is the best we can do? I'm glad I have the warranty or I'd have to box this thing back up and return it myself but I'm disappointed that I got a defective tv, that's on Sony. I paid big buck's for what I expected to be a top Quality product! I'm also disappointed that Best Buy won't just come out and fix this TV, that's why I paid for the warranty! So I wouldn't have to go through all of this hassle with returns, exchanges etc.

Happy that I purchased he Geek Squad, now a days you can never tell when your appliances will go hey wire and it's always a good to have peace of mind knowing that paying for the extended service will help you if you ever need it. I make it a habit to get the Geek Protection for all my purchases at Best Buy, so far it has been one of the best decisions I have made along with the great purchases I have also made. There is no where else to go for service like Best Buy or selection for what you are looking for.

Glad to know my TV is protected by Geek Squad. My TV is protected for 5 years for a convenient price. Last TV was destroyed during moving not taking the same chances again.

I needed service on another TCL TV with dead pixels after the manufacturer warranty ran out. Service guy assessed the issue as unrepairable. So, the extended warranty kicked and a new a TV was ordered. Delivered yesterday and I completed the set up. All is well again.

Best Buy warranty used to be better but with what they still offer can’t go wrong with a warranty.

Reviewing a product protection plan. I hope I don’t have to use it

I luckily have not had to use this but I always purchase it for peace of mind and it works. Often they forget to ask me if I want to add the protection when that happens I ask them for it.

So like any product warranty you wont use it if you buy it. Or? I buy these warranties with things I don't want to carry back or printers so if the ink cartridge explodes. The only bad thing about these warranties is that one of the years runs concurrent with the manufacturer warranty so you don't get the true amout of warranty you are paying for. nice thing is that if something happens just take it back and throw it up on the counter.

If you buy a television from Best Buy trust me the Geek squad warranty is a must! You never know when something could go wrong and if you have this warranty you’ll be glad you did!

Great thing to have, some people say it will never go bad. Well if the manufactures warranty is 1 year and the TV gets hit by lightning surge and Fry's the circuitry 1 year and 1 day later you are out of luck. If you have one of these plans your covered.

Geek squad service is a must. If you are buying anything from best buy, it is worth spending a fee bucks for the geek squad protection. I got a sony TV and installed the tv stands. I noticed after my installation that the TV was shaking and it could fall down. I called best buy and the Geek Squad team were very happy to help.
