I would recommend the extended warranty

In the past if the product fails I would return the damaged product back to the store without any hassle at all. They would either exchange, refund or order me something newer if the old product had been discontinued. I rated the extended warranty a 4 because Best Buy extended warranty is a little higher than Sam's extended warranty on televisions or some other electrical products.

TV protection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i'm really glad my new 43" 4K TV came with it. it was a reasonable price too, i decided i didn't need the 5 year one because that was too long. the two year for an extra $20 was perfect! I am worried something might happen to the TV one day, so i decided to get it.

Geek Squad was so patient

My son talked us in to this TV and surround sound. We would have never been able to get everything up and running without the Geek Squad help. The tech was very patient and showed us how to work everything. We refuse to move it because it works so well!

Peace of mind

You just never know when the device you purchased made malfunction. Things are just not built the same way

Protection Plan

I like that geek squad will make house calls for any needed service unlike at other retailers where you would have to mail a large tv for service!

Service good; phone contact difficult

Purchasing these warranties in the past has always paid off and worked out well. The Geek Squad techs know what they are doing.

When you pay big buck, you really never expect it to break. I payed $2000 for a TV and got the 2 year extended warranty. 1 week before it expired, it broke. 1 day before it expired and 1 day after it was fixed, I extended it another year. It's the best money I ever spend for peace of mind.

Transportation problems

Everything was going fine until I opened the last box (#4). No image, just the line/shape screen, well actually I could see some of the menu to the left. Called Best Buy, said you're over 13 days, can't help you. Called Vizo next, at first they said 1 year warranty, but the next day and a few emails it was determined it was a Best Buy problem and they can't help us. Unfortunately we had to buy a 5th TV to complete the project.

They didn't install my tv
