It's always a good idea to get extra protection plans on anything that you don't want to buy twice because while the quality is great in most of the new technology, any mass produced items have a few flaws once in a while, quality control is really good nowadays but it's always smart to be sure, I've had a few things that I have had to do the warranty on and I was really happy to have it because the manufacturer warranty had expired. I will always get the warranty.

Great for the television. Always good to have insurance especially with little kids

I have always purchased the Best Buy Protection Plan on big-ticketed items like TVs, laptops that could easily get damaged. I had been advised not to get it as it is a waste of money since products are built to last. But not all products do. For the $500/5yr Protection Plan I purchased in 2010, I have called Geek Squad several times to fix my broken TV. Paid $0 on all those house calls. When they could not fix the TV in my last service call, they replaced it. What did I get? A $1000 credit to go towards the purchase of a new one...Of course, I purchased the Protection Plan, thus this review :)

I love to always get a Protection for the years cause you never know what will happen. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

Guys we all know when purchasing items such as tv. It is no brainer "Purchase Protection" for your big ticket item. Few dollars more will add a sense of security and relief, if anything happens to your tv Geek Squad to the rescue!

The entire team from the salesman that helped us pick out our television to the other young ladies with lots of great information of the products sold in the store and our cashiers. Each person was polite and helpful! Due to great service we have returned and purchased a laptop from Best Buy1

I didn’t use the geek service for my installation of my tv.

I buy the geek squad warranty when it makes the most sense, usually when I spend a significant amount of money, and the manufacturer warranty is only one year.

Worth every penny to extend my warranty 2 more years and to get Geek Squad home service to fix and repair my new TV. I have had back surgery recently and am older. I needed a Geek Squad warranty to have the luxury of home service vs me having to load up my TV and taking it to a repair shop.

Highly recommend to get with purchases. My TV started to show bright spots on the edge after nearly 2 years. Made a call. They sent someone out. Determined the tv needed to be exchanged. Since my tv is still usable I was able get a gift card for the full amount I paid on my tv and keep my tv. They went above and beyond.

Geek Squad Protection is a must for OLED TVs. I purchased the 5-year plan for a great price. I feel at ease knowing I’ll have Geek Squad coverage for the next 5 years in case anything goes wrong with my TV.

Whenever I make large electronic purchases, I always consider and usually purchase the optional Geek Squad Protection which is typically for at least 5 years. Most of the time, it has come in very handy with address issues with products like when our Whirlpool Washer we purchased in 2007 had numerous issues (never the same problem) over the years which Best Buy fixed each time. Do yourself a favor and consider getting this when making large purchases.
