Absolutely worth the investment to protect your original purchase. Our television suddenly stopped working and was still covered under the extended warranty we purchased.

Purchased for a new Sony TV. Why? My view is the technology has advanced far enough for "fixed location" electronic items, especially TV/Video displays that the manufacturers should include at least 5 year warranty other than accidental damage. They don't. Best Buy through the Geek Squad gives you what manufactures should; extended warranty. Knowing I'm covered for failure of the product and don't have to lug it back to the store is "sleep insurance." Haven't had to use it on the Sony, but a laptop I bought, we south on me under the Geek Squad warranty and the replacement was no hassle. Even got a slightly newer model of the same product (Lenovo) as my model wasn't available. No hassle. I know some have complained about Geek Squad service, but my view is it's a local issue, not one of the program, and I've never had an issue with level of service with my chosen store (I have 3 I can get to in about the same time).

When ever i make a purchase i use geek squad and thier warranty on every purchase for my electronic. Knowing that if anything happens im covered gives me peace of mind. Always recommend getting this to save on repairs. And the service is top notch

So worth it. This was on my parents old TV I bought them. TV was about 4 year old and started getting dark spots. Geek squad had me send pictures and approved replacement. They came out and delivered the new TV and removed the old. Would always suggest either the individual plan or the plan that covers all purchases, both are a good value

I always take it an extended warranty because I have found out that it pays off in the end and besides, I want to make sure I'm protected. Best Buy's warranty is a very good warranty, that's why I have no problem in paying for it, even if I don't use it, I do have a piece of mind during those 5 years since the manufacturer warranties are usually only 1 year. Just being able to take it to Best Buy, rather then sending it off, makes it even better.

Adding this protection plan was simple, easy to understand, and well integrated into our TV purchase. Best Buy employees explained it thoroughly, how it works, where to go to file claims, etc.

Haven't used yet but great to know I'm covered by the Best
