Our less-than-one-year-old TV had a problem and it took them nearly two months to diagnose the problem and eventually have to replace it. Every time I made an appointment, there was about ten days wait and they sent a bad mother board to replace the old one and had to wait another ten days and so on. I was told by the technician that I could keep my original Geek Squad Protection and when I went to the store to get a replacement, I was told that the Protection will be cancelled and I had to buy it if I want to have Geek Squad Protection again. There was no such an explanation when I purchased the original TV. I was not all impressed! They could have organized this a lot better in my opinion! I still recommend to purchase some protection when it comes to TV, but be prepared to wait a long time to solve your issues.

I have not used the 5 year plan to date since most of the items I have purchased recently. Therefore, I do not have an opinion on the plan.

I would not buy a product without warrenty. The best thing when you need assistances.

We purchased this after an associate told us it would cover any issues with the TV. He lied to make a commission. Thought this was good for 2 years, but 5 months after we purchased, we took the TV in for service because it did not work. Right away service was horrible. He would not fix nor do anything about the problem. We were wasting his time. I asked about having the TV replaced, that was a no. We explained what we were told, he did not care. No manager or corrective issue was taken. We asked about recycling and he wanted additional money for that. Of course the group of employees at the door did not seem to care that were were walking out with a TV in our hand. It must be normal there. Very poor service all around. Not happy that we wasted money on a TV and service that we could not get. I would not recommend that and I would HIGHLY recommend Best Buy training their associates to tell the truth and have a better Customer Service experience.

The geek squad has always been good to me. I am glad I purchased this as a back up.

Its a nice safety net if something goes wrong They will fix it or replace it with a new tv

I purchased the 5 year extended warranty on my Bravia TV. A few months after purchase the TV was damaged during a lightning storm and stopped working. Best Buy would not replace and told me to contact the manufacturer. I did so and the manufacturer immediately replaced the TV; however they replaced it with a different comparable TV. The problem is that the 5yr warranty is on the original TV. I have made repeated attempts to have the warranty updated to reflect the information for the replacement TV all to no avail. No one at Best Buy can or will help me. I have made so many calls and spent countless hours on the phone and even went to the store. Most of the customer representatives speak English as a second language and could not even understand the problem. No one would connect me to a supervisory and usually they would just transfer to another department and I had to start all over again explaining and getting no where. I have finally given up and can only hope that nothing goes wrong with the TV. I’m so frustrated and angry with this company. It’s not the first time I’ve had problems with them but it is the last time I make any major purchase with them and I will never buy one of their warranties again. Very disappointed but not surprised. I would give them negative stars if I could.

So far I have not had to use the Geek Squad. I have heard some good things though.

Laptop broke and needed a new motherboard. Since it was under warranty, I was able to take to a Best Buy where it was purchased to have the Geek Squad repair. Bad part is they can’t fix them at the store, need to send out for the repairs. Good part, didn’t take too long and I had it back within a week.

I haven't had to use this service yet as I have not had any issues with my order

If I'm going to buy quality electronics then I want to be covered. Just in case.

Haven't needed to use them yet, but it's nice that they're available when/if needed.

It's not the item but the Service I needed, really. I guess that's a problem all over but I did pay full price and they had no time for questions.

The service provided worked well. Glad I purchased to protect my computers.
