It's nearly hassle free to get things taken care of, and, at least for me personally, convenience and peace of mind are worth every penny.

I went with 5-yr knowing that it'll be covered if anything happens and so in about that time it may be time for the next upgrade to television so I'm good til then!

Beware that if they do not make or carry your device anymore, you have to get something comparable and if they don't have something comparable, you'll have to pay the difference for an upgrade.

For example, I bought a 3 year warranty on a microwave. It died in 18 months. That's it! Warranty over. I paid for 3 years for the remaining 18 months was non transferable.
