    Good people but not easy to get in touch

    The agents who actually came in to help were good at what they did and were reasonable and good to talk to and help me with my problems. The only problem i have with them is getting in touch with them was way too time consuming. I had to call 2 different hotlines which took over 3 hours to get in touch with an actual human being then eventually was told to call another hotline I gave up and scheduled an appointment online which after another 3 hours of waiting finally got me in touch with someone who could help me. Again the service is great, but it might take you an entire day just to get the help.

    Comes in a box that is not properly reinforced

    The TV is put in a box without adequate protection. FedEx damaged the box and the TV inside. I called Best Buy and they gladly replaced the item. However, I had to return the broken one which I told them that I couldn’t do alone since I have back problems and live in a high floor in the middle of NYC. So Best Buy made arrangements for a UPS driver to come to my place and pick up the broken TV. A UPS driver came to pick up the TV and neither bought the labels nor scanned it so now I’m stuck with having to pay for garbage. It’s been 3 days and the UPS system now reads that there was an attempted delivery to bring the labels even though the TV was already picked up. Unbelievable!

    I always get my Best Buy items covered with Geek Squad. However, the turn around to have something repaired needs be improved upon. I have an 82 QLED, that failed on my on the 11th month of the manufacturer warranty. So I'm at the mercy of Samsung throwing parts at it and Geek Squad scheduling appointments until the issue is resolved. By the time the techs come back out to my house it will be two months of waiting.

    I am hoping this Geek Squad Protection is a lot better than Allstate's. It wouldn't take much to be better than Allstate. I like that the Geek Squad is part of Best Buy and not some corporate insurance company that is far away and difficult to contact. With the Geed Squad I can go right to the store and start the process with actual human beings.

    Due to scheduling/personnel shortages/general societal chaos etc it took a full week before anyone could get out to help us. I do not blame GS in any way. Once Steve arrived everything was taken care of in minutes. The entire process was explained and all will be well in just a few hours.

    My previous TV went out no picture or sound. I had a service tech come out to my house and looked over what was going on. He had to order parts for my TV. Once the parts was delivered to my house he came out a second time (both times were free of charge). The TV still would not work. So with the warranty, I got the price that I paid for the TV in a Best Buy Gift Certificate. I then purchased my new TV and still had money left over on my gift certificate. Also the service tech that came to my house was very knowledgeable and helpful. Very pleased

    Several times in recent weeks when I purchased my merchandise I make sure I get the geek squad I've been with Best buy for over 13 years and geek squad does a excellent job when it comes down to taking care of customers merchandise so if you don't have that warranty make sure you get that warranty because geek squad will take care of you

    Had to use it on a 3 year old TV that developed pink hues all around the edges. Basically got the amount I paid for the TV to purchase a new replacement tv. Pleasantly surprised at how smooth the entire process was.
