I purchased the 2-year Geek Squad Protection Plan thinking it would provide immediate coverage if something went wrong with my new TV. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. What they don’t tell you upfront is that if your product is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, Geek Squad won’t help you, they’ll just refer you back to the manufacturer. That means you’re really only getting about one year of coverage, not two, because Geek Squad won’t step in until the manufacturer’s warranty expires. To make things even more frustrating, if your TV is wall-mounted, Best Buy won’t unmount it for you unless you pay an additional $150 or hire someone else to do it before they’ll even assist you. So, even though you pay extra for “full protection,” it doesn’t actually feel like full protection at all. This experience feels misleading and like false advertising. When you buy a 2-year protection plan, you expect help anytime during those two years, not to be bounced between companies or charged extra just to start the replacement process. Customers deserve better transparency about what this plan actually covers and when it applies.

TV is great. Knowing its coveres for 5 years makes it even better.

Although it took alot of holding of the phone & waiting in line at the store, all in all, I'd recommend this protection plan. If it weren't for the 2 year plan we purchased, I'd have to fork out at least $500 for a TV comparable to the one we had that just gave out. Instead, we received a $400 gift card to use towards a new one. I paid $150 out of pocket for the difference. Not bad at all. In fact, this time around I paid for the 5 year protection plan. It could use some streamlining as far as customer service is concerned but still worth the trouble I went through.

Everything is working fine.I have no problem with the service.

Purchased the 5 year warranty for our new Samsung 70” TV. Hopefully we won’t have to use it but if something fails in the next 5 years we are covered! (As long as it is not a cracked or broken screen). Keep any young children away from the TV screen so this doesn’t happen!

Haven’t used it yet hopefully I won’t have to it was pretty pricey too.

I have no problem picking up the Geek Squad Protection when I am investing in something significant - like this new 55-inch Sony 4K Ultra HD Smart TV. In today's world, where technology becomes obsolete so quickly - having five years of protection gives me the peace of mind I will be covered in case anything goes wrong during the "life" of my TV. Because in five years, I'll probably be buying a new one anyway.

I haven't needed a Geek Squad associate to fix my TCL p605, which I bought the extended warranty for. However, I do have the confidence in knowing that if something goes wrong, a Geek Squad member will come by my home to fix my TV, if something does happen to it. And, if it CANNOT be fixed, I'll get a refund or replacement. Plus, I know some people, who have used the warranty and love it.

I am usually a skeptic when it comes to the actual coverage on these warranties but I can say that geek squad definitely helped my with out a hassle. Tech came out assessed the issue and with in minute I had my replacement options . In store easy process for the new replacement. Get the warranty it works if needed

Was looking into buying a TV through Samsung as there protection plan and other offers seemed pretty good, but then looked through Best Buy and the offers with Geek Squad protection seemed just a few points better money and protection-wise. Geek Squad does a good job of servicing any needs or issues.

Havent had to use it. Hopefully I never do. Its good to have some protection for mass produced chromebooks that your kid has to have for school

Did not have the Geek squad hang my TV. Did it myself.

I think that ut is great knowing that if I have a problem that I can take it to them for help.

I've never had any issues with my warranties. I actually recommend Best Buy to everyone for their purchases needs more or less because of how easy it is to utilize the warranty in the event something happens

Warranties are always a plus in my eyes and overall good for business and that’s a 10 in my eyes

Always recommend coverage for what you buy, never know what might happen!
