We stay in Florida and our house was built before the 1970s, so no 3 wire electrical. Everytime we have a T-storm something is bound to get hit. Even with surge protectors and battery backups on all the expensive TV's and devices. So paying the extra for geek squad protection is a must have and a no brainer.

The extended warranty is always a good idea especially when you are dealing with expensive electronics which is all of them, I always get the extended warranty and it has saved me several times, I've had many items that have stood the test of time but with any mass produced products there are always a few issues, most of them are fine but if I end up with a flawed iten the extended warranty means I don't need to worry.

I highly recommend adding a protection plan to your purchase. Even a quality product may have a catastrophic failure. We lost our 2-year-old refrigerator when severe thunderstorms hit the power grid. Best Buy replaced the refrigerator and compensated for food spoilage. The protection plans are worth every penny.

The Geek Squad provides excellent service and are very professional. Highly recommend anyone rely on their expert knowledge. The Geek Squad installed and calibrated my TV. You cannot imagine the expertise required to make the necessary adjustments to the settings to make a TV picture and the sound perfect. Let the Geek Squad install and calibrate your TV. Purchased the geek squad protection plan for my Lg OLED, the first TV I had got screen burn in and this plan replaced it with a Lg OLED 3 years newer with another extended warranty all included with no out of pocket expense. Best money spent ever. After 3 years to receive a better TV with another 5 year warranty. That’s what I call a no brainer!!!

The agents were very polite and courteous. They even put on bags over their shoes to cover the soles from getting our living room carpet all dirty. Our TV screen had been damaged from a direct hit by a flying drone. Agents went through the process step by step with us and made sure all options were assessed. I recommend buying coverage for all your tech. We’ll worth the purchase.

Anytime I purchase anything over $500 I always purchase the extra protection plan. This way I know if something happens to my tv in that 5 year duration. Everything is covered as far as replacement parts, labor etc....
