My TV got damaged and blinking at place. Ghe protection replaced it and it was very easy.

Luckily I had a protection plan on my old samsung TV, because when the sound went out, I was able to get it sent in to be fixed twice, but with no luck, and then got a free replacement; never had to spend a penny except on a new protection plan.
