    Bought protection plan when I bought the TV. Within 6 months, power surge fried the HDMI port, even with grade A surge protector. Called for service and was back up and running within a week. Beats having to go shell out the $$ for another TV.

    i think the price for these things is not bad, ive never had to have a tv fixed under one of these services so i dont know how slow it goes or how much of a pain it is if you actually need to have something fixed.

    A must have with any product over $50. I never but anything without getting the extra warranty for it. Geek squad is most definitely the best extra warranty you can get.

    No worries for the next 5 years since my 75n Sony is covered. I had it set up and calibrated by the geek squad. Extra sweet since I added a Sony sound bar and satellite speakers.
