Anytime I purchase anything over $500 I always purchase the extra protection plan. This way I know if something happens to my tv in that 5 year duration. Everything is covered as far as replacement parts, labor etc....

Got Geek Squad for my LG Air Conditioner because the previous one on wheels broke after 2 years. Warranties like this are necessary with AC's that breakdown after a short time

I generally purchase protection plans for large ticket items and for smaller ticket items if the costs of the protection plan does not exceed 15% of the purchase price which is still a bit high. I have had to use the benefits of a protection plan before and for the most part it is worthwhile. Seems that the satisfaction level is largely based on the store's management policies and store reps. In a worst case scenario it's good insurance if you have product failure and or need support service.

I bought a floor model OLED LG 55 inch TV because the price was too good to pass up. I bought this warranty because it was an floor model, I usually don't purchase an extended warranty. Im so glad I did. There was burn in on the wcreen when I got home and the geek squad came over and replaced my screen within a week. Amazing customer service and amazing warranty! They were quick refunded me store credit no issue.

I had the 5 year protection plan on my GX 77” oled and had issues with the tv. Geek squad tried a repair which didn’t work so they replaced the tv with a new G3 77” oled. I would recommend this plan (which I got again on this tv)
