It stands to reason with any new appliance you need a Geek Squad warranty with all the electronics and high tech that can go awry (it’s no longer your reliable appliances of yesteryear). Do yourself a huge favor and get one!

I normally don't buy protection plans. My last refrigerator lasted for over 20 years with no major problems. This time I did because it was cheap and comprehensive. Hope I never have to use it but you really never know. At least I don't have to worry about it now. Peace of mind is golden.

This is an excellent option to buy peace of mind at a reasonable cost. The terms offered are very attractive. I was able to buy a lower cost product along with this extra warranty, which in my opinion gave an equivalent value as compared to a higher priced product and I saved a lot of money. I strongly recommend that one should go for the additional warranty offered.

I am certainly enjoying the functions I have on this refrigerator. It is one of the highlights of my home. Anytime I had a question concerning how to operate it, the geek squad was always available to assist me. Thank you Best Buy! I’m glad I purchased it.

Got my 5yrs warranty purchase. My first LG refrigerator stopped working just before the warranty ended. Called Best Buy repair service came to house. Refrigerator serviceman decided i need a new refrigerator and that's what I got.

Had a refrigerator with manufacturing defects. Fortunately, we had an extended service policy. Therefore would not purchase another refrigerator without an extended service policy Geek Squad.

I bought this for my Insignia refrigerator. I'm thankful it is there, though I've not needed it for this item.

I've had this Samsung fridge for 4 1/2 days, paid for a 3 yr. extended warranty and there are now problems with the freezer. I went on the Geek "Help Chat" and the geek told me that a repair visit would start at $99. I then called the Geek Squad and was told to call Samsung myself. I certainly could have spent the $200 extra warranty money on something worthwhile, because this isn't.

I have not us3d the protection plan as of yet but the geek squad has been very helpful with setting up my printer to the new MacBook I just purchased. They very very understanding and helpful with every question and we were successful in getting my laser printer to function.

Peed for those instances where something unexpected happens. Such as. A Samsung fridge having issues lol

Given the life expectancy of my purchase, adding the 3-year plan would make it well worth the price of the appliance and the extra warranty.

I don't always buy GSP, but I did for my refrigerator. It was nice that the saleman didn't try to oversell me. I could have bought 5 years, but he said I could buy 3 yrs now and then add to it for the same price in a couple of years. It was something that I wanted, but now I can try it for a few years and see how things go and decide if I want to add to it later.

This is great back up to the product because if needed they will be prompt and professional

I only Buy my appliance and tech from Best Buy because I trust this Protection plan.

We used this protection when our freezer stopped working and all the meat inside spoiled. The replacement freezer was delivered and we had to restock it, but we did file a claim for the spoiled food. I believe we had the check for the claim within a week.

Beware of these service plans, these types of "warranties" seem harder and harder to use. I have normally purchased my large appliances from Best Buy because of the service plans, but I am considering going elsewhere in the future. Fridge has been having an issue and I called to get the fridge serviced, they tell me that the fridge has a warranty with the manufacturer for 10 years parts and 5 years labor. I spent two hours trying to get ahold of Whirlpool and finally talking to them they confirm that but the warranty does not cover the service call to see what is wrong with the fridge, so I am geek squad tells me this time they won't authorize the service call without a RMA number that I need to get from the manufacturer, so I have to waste more time now to get this information. I was a big believer of Best Buy and Geek Squad, this has changed by this whole experience.

Bought a kitchen aid refrigerator. It hums/buzzes so loud I had a technician come out; only to find this is normal for this particular model. I do not think this refrigerator will last up to its warranty and I am so glad I purchased this extended warranty.

An excellent product, silent and does not take up much space, I recommend it 100%
