    We remodeled the kitchen but my wife wanted upgraded appliances. It’s on the small size for me but she loves it.

    I never got a chance to try calling the agent yet, but buying this plan was very easy and i feel like my open box is protected for 3 years with this.

    Having the protection is nice but the process is pretty bad. Had my issue escalated. Notes were not taken properly. The WORST part was the service guys that they have a contract with.

    Great plan. If anything goes wrong they will attempt to repair if it can not be repaired they will replace the product.

    Issues with refidgerator after 14 days purchase

    Bought a refrigerator from best buy outlet. It was an open box but was said to be still functioning. After having it for 14 days we noticed everything in the freezer had defrosted. Temperature reading inside the fridge said the freezer was at 0 degrees Fahrenheit but in reality it was at 60 degrees when i put a temperature probe inside. Geek sqaud came out 4 days later to repair. They claimed the gasket on the freezer was not sealing correctly cause it to let heat in. They then “repaired” it and later that night it was still not freezing. Had to call them again and now have to wait another 2 days to have someone come out again.

    Okay, if you like giving money away the Geek Squad protection is for you. When we purchased our fridge we were informed that the geek squad protection would take over once the factory warranty ended. Every time we had to have our fridge repaired we were told the geek squad guys were just all booked up and it would need to go thru whirlpool direct. After two dozen repairs we find out that the fridge - that should have been replaced - is no longer covered. So essentially we gave Best Buy money to fix a fridge that they never had any intention to fix and didn't even schedule the service to fix. The way this warranty works is complete garbage, the service on it is garbage, the customer service is garbage. Maybe I shouldn't say that, garbage becomes something useful when it's broken down. There is nothing about the geek squad name, service, or warranty that is of any value to anyone on planet earth. Do yourself a favor and save your money.
