    Strange. These warranties use to be SUPER expensive. Then they went far down in price, now back in the middle. But, if a shelf breaks on the fridge, and you cant use the shelf, they say it's "cosmetic" and wont replace. they say thats why the prices are "cheaper" for warranty. Huh? you can't use it. Be aware as in the they use they "covers everything from accidents to more" but its not totally true. That was disappointing. At sears, their warranties are in fact still more expensive, but when a shelf broke i called up and one was on the way free. I miss that. But, since my fridge is so expensive, you are better off with a warranty than without.

    I have no idea how the nugget ice maker on my new fridge is going to hold up so it's a no-brainer to make sure this entire unit is under warranty. Also, the nice thing about the coverage is Best Buy will write a check for $200 to cover spoiled food if the fridge goes out of commission.

    Kind of weird to review an extended warranty, however, I must say that it is super nice to see that all the information for it is right in my account on bestbuy.com. It will be easily accessible if I need it in the future.

    I love Best Buy warranties because they are great whether it’s for an appliance, flat screen TV, or computers. I have purchased these items and warranties over many years.

    So our fridge we got was an open box and got this service to cover it in case something went wrong with it. Well one week out and the water dispenser went out. With the first call the tech ordered a new dispenser and had it shipped to our house and then came out and had it in the fridge with in 15 minutes. Awesome friendly knowledgeable service I would recommend it to anyone.

    We love the fridge but realized it does not have enough storage. We actually had to purchase some storage containers which do work really well… otherwise we do love the fridge

    Geek squad protection

    Utilized my geek squad protection after my dishwasher went out 15 months after purchase. Tech came 8 days later and said he’d have to order the part and it could be another 8 days. Pretty standard as far as warranties go, but still frustrating for such a new product.

    They were so helpful when we had an issue, thinking they would just send the replacement part, they ended up replacing our appliance all together in just a couple days free of charge and no questions asked. Well worth the money.

    I've never used the warranty, but for Plus members the value is tremendous and would be hard to be as bad as most manufacturers warranty.

    So far have not had to use this, glad to have it as gives a peace of mind for things to break down or that at least for a while, have always took the Geek Squad Protection out in the past never had a problem to get things fixed being under the Geek Squad Protection

    Sears Outlet and other vendors want substantially more money to cover the same product. Best Buy is very up front and clear with what is covered and what is not covered in their warranty. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my LG counter depth had a $200 price to cover the unit for five years. I'm genuinely not worried about any noises or issues because I know i'm covered.

    Save your Money Back Ordered Parts

    Replacement parts on back order with no est. in-stock date. I purchased an expensive refrigerator that the ice maker quit working on it. Called for service and they promptly sent someone out. Rep told me they were ordering a new ice maker and that it would come directly to me and to call in again once I received it. A day or two after the rep left the fridge stopped cooling so all of my food is spoiling. Yes, they have a food replacement claim form but that is for $200 MAX overall. I have teenage kids we go through that in a week! So I called back in for service on the cooling of my fridge and to my surprise I was told they WILL NOT send anyone else out until my part comes in and they install it. So I ask what is the estimated delivery time for my part and I am told that they don't have one because its on back order. So at this moment I have a 3k fridge in my kitchen with an expensive Geek Squad warranty that was supposed to protect my investment. But what is happening is that every time I call the best-buy warranty service and wait an hour and a half to speak to the first person(that is not an exaggeration) each rep tells me that the previous rep processed my claim wrong and that they are doing it right and I will have another company come out to fix this because this is a major break down. Only for me to wait and receive my scheduling email and see that I am again booked for the same warranty company A&E and they never show up because they wont come out until the ice maker has been shipped to me. I have remained hopeful that this will be resolved professionally but with how my claim is being bungled I don't know. FYI for those buying these plans they tell you that if the product breaks down and they can't fix it they will replace the product. THAT IS NOT THE TRUTH. Thats what I was told so I purchased the product only to learn now that I need help that "your warranty doesn't have that option" WHAT?!?! I purchased the only warranty available to me and purchased it based on that statement. Long story short, store workers don't know much about the warranty info. They are telling you what ever they need to to sell a warranty and get a pat on the head from the manager.
