Unless you have read and fully understood the manufacturer's fine-print legalese, you'd better buy this. Price is good. Cooktop ranges are prone to problems.

My total tech support is ok however, waiting for support takes a long time to come on. I have waited 2-3 hours and sometimes I've gone to bed and started the next day. I have found that I'll be connected to someone who doesn't have all of the skills needed and then I have to wait 2-3 more hours for someone else to come on.

This is a must have when purchasing any electronics device. Protection for those unexpected breaks.

I like Best Buy warranty they call you back when you need assistance it’s a little pricey but good

I purchased a new dishwasher with a 5-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection plan. Two years later, our dishwasher started throwing an error code. A service technician arrived and ordered a couple of parts. Two weeks later was the earliest we could get the technician back to our home to replace the parts that came in a week. The technician replaced the first part, but it continued to throw an error code, so he replaced the second part, and it is still throwing an error code. He proceeds to order another part, and two more weeks later, he arrives, replaces the part that came in a week, and the dishwasher throws an error code. We are a month into troubleshooting, and the technician is ordering more parts to throw at it. I asked what the next step would be, and he informed me that he would replace a previously replaced part and then go from there. Now we are at the head-scratching phase, and I can't get someone to make the call to replace the defective dishwasher. Instead, they want to continue throwing parts at it delaying the inevitable at the cost of my time. The technician says he is not authorized to make the call to replace the device and can only continue changing parts. The Geek Squad representative I called confirmed this. Only a district manager can call for replacement, but we, as customers, are shielded from these managers. I am beginning to question the usefulness of this protection plan if it doesn't allow an avenue for replacing a defective device.

This program is quite excellent. Whether assistance by phone or home service, we have always been impressed.
