I bought this 3 Year standard Geek Squad Protection for my Samsung Hub fridge. Peace of mind

Sales associate recommended that I purchase this and explained the reasons clearly.

My Refrigerator started to die after 11 months. I tried to claim the warranty and they said I had to go through Samsung directly. Samsung saw there was only 3 weeks left in the factory warranty and drug the process out 3 weeks, then said the warranty expires an passed the buck to Best Buy warranty. Best Buy then took 4 days to schedule an inspection, another 5 days to schedule a third party repair tech, and then another 10 days to order parts and get the repair done. Meanwhile, my refrigerator is no longer chilling food and I'm stuck without a major aplliance. My recommendation would be to avoid warranties on major appliances. It woild have been cheaper and faster just to buy a new one fue to lost food, eating out, time spent dealing with bureaucracy of insurance.

Geek squad is really very geeky. Must for big ticket items as they cover all kinds of issues.

Thankfully we have not had to use this service yet! Better safe than sorry!

I purchased this extended warranty for the Whirlpool refrigerator just purchased. The warranty is for piece of mind and at the price the decision was easy.
