    Bought the store brand Insignia 20.5 cu ft fridge in stainless steel and within a year the shelves started breaking. Spent 3 days attempting to remedy situation through extended 5 year warranty purchased. Was told damage is difficult to prove or disprove and that an appt to have a technician come out to my house would be necessary to determine if shelf was indeed broken and whether it could be fixed or needed replaced. I had brought the broken Insignia refrigerator shelf in to the store with me. I asked if he was saying the only course of action I had was to take the broken shelf back to my house, try to reinstall it and then schedule an appt with a tech to come to my house to make the determination that it was broken and he said that my understanding was correct. He said it was corporate policy which he had no hand in creating but must abide by . I asked where the "fix it" techs work out of. He said the stores but there was no way for customers or fellow employees to contact them when in store and directed me to contact their main 'help" line. Since I had already spent 2 days trying to get help through the online chat function which led me to be told to bring the shelf into a store to get service only to be told by this Geek Squad employee that their helpline employees were incorrect and now on day 3 of trying to get a workable fridge main shelf I needed to go call the helpline again. I told him I was reluctant to do so as I was already 3 days in and the helpline had sent me to him and he was trying to send me back. I asked for contact information so I could discuss my experience and how their corporate policy effected me and he again gave me the help line telephone number and said that there were no addresses or emails that customers could access or be given, that it was corporate policy that he had no control over because he just worked there. Why even bother? With poor quality products and poor design backed up by the Geek Squad who refuses service and employees who simply can't or won't be autonomous or attempt to actually remedy a situation, why even bother? Spend your money elsewhere, somewhere you and your money is valued and appreciated.

    I have t had to use the geek squad protection on my refrigerator yet, but based on past purchases it’s most definitely useful. While pricy it can save you a lot of money in the long run.

    love my new refrigerator! So much room in fridge and freezer. Love the sleek look and clear drawers. Can believe how much i can store on doors. looks great in my new kitchen.

    Quick replacement of unrepairable refrigerator

    Our refrigerator, bought new, lost temperature control after 14 months. Geek squad repair came to our house, declared the refrigerator a total loss, not fixable. Best Buy offered either to replace it with a new model of equal worth or give us a credit for the full price of what we paid toward a new refrigerator, but a different make. We chose to purchase a new refrigerator of a different make and the Geek Squad took it from there without any hassle. We received a check for $296.00 toward the replacement of spoiled food.

    The delivery Guys were excellent. they moved the fridge into my kitchen which made it very easy for me to hook up and get started. they took all of the cardboard and backing away and did an inspection of the fridge to make sure there was no damange in shipping

    Had issue getting previous appliance manufacturers warranty honored (won’t mention any names) so decided to get the 5 year Geek Squad warranty on my new appliance for peace of mind that if I happen to have any issue I can just call Best Buy & the geek squad will take care of me rather than trying to deal with a call center in another country- who will do everything they can to get out of honoring their warranty!!! (Again, this issue was not with Best Buy but rather is the reason I purchased my new appliance & warranty with Best Buy!!!)

    I've had the protection plan for my fridge and will not live without it now. The agents were amazing and thankfully we had this warranty or else we would have had to buy a new fridge.

    Geek Squad service was fast, professional, and easy! They hauled away my old chest freezer and brought in my new Samsung Freezer in less than 15 minutes! They arrived in the middle of the 4-hour delivery window and called when they were about 15 minutes away. Very happy customer! TN free warranty is just an extra layer of peace of mind since I've had an Freezer (not from Best Buy) break in less than 3 years.

    Haven't had occasion to call them for anything. Installation of our fridge & oven went fine. They did however, in their cleaning-up, take the box the Microwave was packed in-unknowing that the template for mounting the microwave was printed on the box! I created my own & my wife & I hung it without incident.

    The service was great, the guys were on time, actually he called because he come a little early, polite, took care about shoes on marble floors, very helpful. Gave tips and gave me some helpful hints on some of the features on my Refigerator.

    The agents hooked up my refrigerator and took the old refrigerator and put it in the basement. I will definitely recommend them to family and friends. They did a fantastic job. I will always go with Best Buy and the geek squad. Good job guys!!!

    Although we had to replace this unit twice, in the end it’s terrific. First unit had multiple issues: noisy when cooling, constant rattling, and dim interior lights to name a few. Replaced but installer broke one of the leveling pieces. Replaced for third time and experienced several month delay due to availability. Finally received new unit July 2021 and no issues to date. Beautiful unit, quiet, water and ice dispenser work great - great end to a long journey. Of note, throughout the exchanges, damage to unit, delays and rescheduling issues, Best Buy team members were always professional, courteous and helpful. Several went above and beyond. That’s why we stuck with it and continue to purchase from Best Buy.
