I've had mixed experiences with BB Geek Squad protections plans in the past. However, last May I bought a Maytag top loader washing machine for my mother and put a 5-yr protection plan. It was the best thing I could have done because 6 months later it simply stopped working. I called Geek Squad, they helped me set up an appointment and in a couple of days they came to fix it. I am very skeptical about spending my money on protections plans, but this time I am glad I decided to purchase the 5 yr protections plan. I may not feel confident on the Maytag washer I purchased, but I glad I can call GS to fix any future problems, at least for the next 4 years.

With all the electronics & computer technology, the Geel Squad extended service is well worth the money. Best Buy really takes care of you with this.

I always purchase the Geek Squad service. It's a great buy knowing you're protected if you need the service. The times I needed to utilize the service it was hassle free!!!

Hope to never need it ... but it is good to know that If I do, I will get 100% purchase price back if something cant be fixed, etc! This means it is NOT pro-rated like a car battery that depreciates over time. 1st year they work in conjunction with manufacturer's warranty, and then 4 yrs after. Like I said, fingers crossed I will never need it as long as the products live up to the manufacture reputations!

I’ve owned my washer for a couple years now. A discontinued Samsung front loader that was supposed to be top of the line. It’s a great washer when operational, but unfortunately, not working. Fixing it under factory warranty was great. But now that factory warranty is over, I’m faced with what is turning out to be the most impossible task to-date. Getting a tech out to fix my washer through the Geek Squad Protection plan. Countless time wasted on the phone scheduling appointments and listening to the service agents regurgitate the same prompt while informing me that “Your appointment has been cancelled because there is no tech available.” Constant time off work, or time blocked off from doing other daily chores while waiting for an appointment that will ultimately not show. Not only that, but I’m having to reach out to them to find out what’s going on with the appointment. This is a horrible experience and I’ve come to the conclusion that this service is a waste of time and money. Now I’m stuck waiting for someone to fix my inoperable washer with a household of five for two weeks! FYI, my appointment is now rescheduled for the third time. Just replace my washer at this point.

I love my dryer. This brand last for ever. The purchase was so easy and personnel at the store were very helpful and attentive

Wonderful technicians, knowledgeable in servicing the appliance that was under warranty. Every time I called customer service by phone the agents on the other line were super helpful and quick in helping me to take care of the issue or answer any questions I had.

I just got a warranty. There was no install of my dryer.

Not much to say about this. I get a paper and email with information for the geek squad. If something should go wrong I call and use it. That simple.

I work in insurance and kniw how important protection is especially on machines that coat this much. Im thankful for the service.

Always go with the Geek Squad warranty. Life happens, accidents happen, manufacturers defects happen. Geek Squad warranties protect you and your purchase. If Geek Squad can't fix it no one can.

With the sophisticated computer components in today's tvs and appliances, I feel better knowing I can rely on Best Buy's Geek Squad should something go wrong or if I cannot figure how to use something. They never laugh at my questions, no matter how ridiculous they may seem

I love the LG appliances. A couple of things to think about with this product, First,I am 5'4 and I cannot reach to the bottom of the drum to remove all the clothes, I have to use a stool to reach the bottom. second, I have had this product for about 6months and it is leaking from the bottom.

Geek Squad came and explained everything when they dropped off the items. They were very thorough. I really appreciated them explaining everything.

I highly recommend getting an extended warranty nowadays as companies care very little for quality and longevity of products.
