12/7/21 purchased a washer and dryer at Pacific Sales which is a division of Best Buy. I was offered a service contract from Geek Squad which is also part of Best Buy which I purchased. In May 2023 I noticed a rattle during the spin cycle of the washer. While the machine was operating fine at that time, I contacted Best Buy to have service to avoid further damage and was advised the service contract was through AIG. Had I known the agreement was though AIG I would not have purchased as I have 40 years experience in the financial industry and am aware of AIG history. AIG sent someone out from Antech Appliance which has a 1.5 star rating on Yelp with the majority of the ratings based on their work for warranty companies and finding reasons not to cover claims. The service spent about 10 minutes looking at the machine and told me they would need to remove tub which would take 2 people so they would have to come back. A day or so later I received an email stating the claim was to be denied as "they stated they found the unit not working due to a foreign object(coin/pin rattling) between the tubs causing a noise issue and this is not considered normal wear and tear." Note that per the email they are making the assumption that the rattle is caused by a foreign object but they do not know what it is and cannot confirm it is in fact a foreign object. I filed a complaint with BBB but Best Buy stated they are standing behind AIG finding. I had requested a refund of the premium as the warranty was of no value and AIG denied the claim based on assumptions. Subsequently the machine has started to show Error Code when I run the clean cycle. Best Buy responded to the BBB that they had provided a pro rata refund and cancelled the contract. This was done at my request as my right and not in satisfaction of my claim. Best Buy used to stand behind their products but obviously no more. Do not buy from Best Buy but, if you do, do not purchase a service contract. Not worth anything. They employ sub standard repair companies.

Bought this plan for my washer. Five months after buying the washer and this plan, my washer had a leak. It was a disconnected tubing and was fixed quickly for free (would cost over $200). Yeah it would be still under the manufacturer's warranty but from what I have read it could be a headache to get help from them.

I have bad luck with washers. They always break down. Purchased a GE washer used once then the circuit board fried. Purchased a Maytag Cabrio it leaked after a year or two geek squad took care of it. It screwed up again and it wasn't repairable was refunded some money. Purchased a Samsung washer , then it was recalled due to it exploding Samsung issued a partial refund and I cancelled the warranty with a partial refund. Purchased another Samsung washer with Geek Squad protection...yup!

The protection plan from Geek Squad has been a blessing for all my appliances that need repair. Have always with their immediate response for any repairs.

Quality is guaranteed with this purchase through the Geek Squad. I have worked in retail and will not make a major purchase without having the protection plan. It’s that simple. With the plan, the consumer is afforded the ability to have their product serviced or many times, replaced, when they don’t perform as they did when new.

Agents came and picked up my old washe/ dryer and installed new unit. Very friendly and professional.

Geek Squad Protection is something I always get with everything I get from Best Buy. It’s a lot better and easier to deal with Geek Squad vs the actual manufacturers. Manufactures warranty and dealing with their process really sucks, Geek Squad is the way to go.

Bought washer and dryer, that loaded it into my vehicle.

Called in and had to exchange my front end washer for a top end loader. These guys made the transition easy and quick. They solved my problems with no question. I appreciate the help.

The Geeksquad installed my washer and answered all my questions I hope I never need them to service the washer for any problems that may arise but if it does I would feel confident in their servicing it.

Purchased the 3-year protection plans with my appliance purchases. I haven't used them yet, but I feel secure in knowing my items are protected.

I have always been told to purchase extended warranties and have never really needed to use them or I am often disappointed with the coverage that is given. I found myself having to use the Geek Squad protection one time and they were amazing. They gave me all of the options and made sure that I received the best option. I will never make a purchase without it again.

This product is awesome and has the reputation of being reliable. It is easy to take care of and clean and it does the job job like it said it would do. I would highly recommend this to a friend.

Great protection plan! I thought it started coverage after the warranty ends but im not sure because the protection plan says good thru 3/2025 and if the warranty is 1 yr then the protection is actually only 2 yrs. However the geek squad description says it starts after the warranty ends so i have no idea.
